AKC (papers) Standard Poodle Male PUPPY- He is a beautiful phantom. He has silver, light grey, & a deep dark grey. This poor boy was held back by the breeder to be a stud( breeder). He is UTD on everything and tested negative for heartworms. He is on a preventative now also. He has learned so very much and has a wonderful personality. He went from being a number living outdoors in a pen to being a well groomed, well behaved, funny, trying so hard to please,& playful standard. Tucker is on the small side. He loves toys, fetch, treats, other dogs, walking, older kids, exploring, and loves going for rides. He has learned to walk on a ... (Read More)leash, be a good inside dog, sleeps all night, has learned quiet a few commands, and is becoming such a good dog. Standards are very smart, live from 12 to around 15 years. I have had several live to 18. He comes from health tested parents. I try to rescue standards that face a life being used a breeder, some who do so called designer dogs and live their lives in an outdoor kennels. Tucker is a very humble dog but will do best with an experienced standard poodle person and with other standards. Judging on his parents size and weight, Tucker will be small in stature and as of May 03, he weighs 45 pounds. He's very active and will fill out but won't get much bigger. I DO ADOPT OUT OF STATE . I check references. You must have a fenced yard. I have 2 applications to be filled out. I also do home checks, a before ( & sometimes an after home check). He will do best with a female, young or older couple, older kids should do well with him but I don't think he would do well with toddlers. He is a very sweet natured dog and also a clown. He is 100% housetrained. Most standards love water ( they have webbed feet) , he loves baths or showers too. This puppy loves to chase squirrels, fetch, take long walks, and riding. He has turned out to be pretty laid back . He went from living in a small pen with other adult dogs to being bathed, clipped, and being an inside dog. ( he's been clipped 6 times now & does great). Tucker had never been groomed & never had his ears plucked. (It makes you wonder how anyone could ignore a standard puppy whose ears must have hurt.) Tucker knows the routine here now and has learned from my pack. Standards need lots of brain stimulation to keep from being bored. I think he would also make a good therapy or service dog. If AFTER reading his profile you should have a question I haven't covered, please just ask. Thank you so much for your interest in rescue. Please use your correct e-mail address & phone number if You are interested in receiving an answer. Like most rescuers, I try to cram 30 hours into a 24 hour period. (Less)

lnteresting Poodle Trivia Low-Cost Alabama Spay & Neuter Clinics
Poodles appear in art from ancient Rome. Poodles have been used as circus performers. The name Poodle comes from a German word describing someone who likes the water. Poodles are widely considered to be French, but there is debate over whether they may have originated in Germany or Denmark.
