Rescue Me ID: 15-05-26-00092Ava (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

We got a very concerned email from Texas about sweet Ava ...the shelter was set on finding a home for this unusually beautiful (with the most amazing eyes that speak of great wisdom) and very loving Maltese/Poodle. Ava was recognized for her goodness and sweet personality (and her beauty always attracts admirers everywhere she goes). But as stunning as Ava is on the outside (although this poor girl will be so happy after a sudsy bath and new hairdo) it just doesn't compare with the love and good-will that flows from the heart of this pup. Ava aced her temperament testing (she passed with flying colors) and got a perfect on her vetting ... (Read More)assessment. So...off she went to her foster home...to be reminded of respectful house skills and to wait for her transport to Denver and a brand new life. Since Ava has gotten an A for sweetness, cuddling and general positive behavior...she's ready to be a devoted family member. We envision her in a home either with older and very gentle children who can cuddle and love Ava with a light touch or she'd be a natural in a home with retirees who will shower time and attention on this devoted and engaging pup. We would never want Ava in a situation where she's alone for many hours. Instead we would love for her to be taken along on walks, adventures and visits with dog-loving friends. She's almost impossible not to fall in love with...her manner speaks of softness and light. Ava also travels like a champ - she loves nothing more than coming along on errands, socializing visits and any adventure that keeps her together with those she loves. She would also be a natural to come along on vacations or getaways (and is a perfect companion and lap dog at 2 - 3 years old and approximately 12 lbs..so easy to scoop up and take along)...she's so pleasant with everyone that she attracts admirers everywhere she goes. But it will definitely be the special lap and familiar touch that will draw Ava back to her family every time...she's a one-family girl! Ava is being fostered in Denver. Farfel's is currently accepting applications and setting up Meet and Greets for our sweetest girl. If interested in this snuggly and loyal pup who desperately wants to be a best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-25-00737Sara (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

When we are asked about a special rescue pup that is snuggly, sweet and very fun-loving, we can't help but think of Sara. Her smile is shining...and maybe just a bit mischievous. Her foster mom knows it's morning when Sara's little head comes under the blanket...getting closer and closer..and then a huge kiss of love. This curious and really, really smart 12 to 18 month old, approximately 12 to 14 lb Maltese/Poodle mix is a truly great companion as well as a lap dog extraordinaire. There aren't many visible signs (other than her initial shyness upon meeting new people) that Sara was in a very scary high-kill shelter just about to face ... (Read More)euthanasia. She can hang back or be a touch afraid in certain situations..but a warm hug and reassuring words...and Sara bounces back and cuddles just a bit closer. . We picture Sara as the best friend to retirees. She'd be so loyal... and overjoyed to share her love and good will. There's also no question that Sara would be the most popular girl on the block. Once comfortable, she loves to engage and just be her entertaining, adorable self. Even though Sara is usually up for pretty much any activity, she's never pushy or yappy. Exercise...perhaps a walk in the sunshine to socialize with neighbors, and mental stimulation that comes from her time with her humans... is important to this girl to keep her happy and well-behaved. it's not that she requires extensive amounts, just enough to keep her healthy and stimulated. Sara is such an easy dog to bring along. You can just scoop her up and she'll lie happily in your arms. Or grab a backpack and Sara will snuggle down in her backpack for a long hike with a great view from above. Sara derives so much joy from her relationships, we would love to see her in a family that often stays at home...or chooses to bring along this sweet and kind fuzzy family member. Sara would shine in an office setting or in pretty much any situation where a sweet pup is accepted. Sara is a great dog who deserves this love and consistency in her life. Sara's Texas foster mom had the following to say about lovebug Sara: Sweet and kind Sara would be perfect for a retired couple or individual. She is a little timid at first but once I sat quietly with her, spoke gently about how much I loved her and gave her tons of belly rubs, she couldn't stop wagging her tail. It reminded me of a helicopter! All Sara wants to make her happy is to sit or lie by my side, or on my lap, and follow me as I wander around the house. Although, she does get tired of my wanderings and will lie down quietly in an available dog bed or couch. Sara walks on a leash like a champ (perfect for an older individual) and likes to potty outside. She's so respectful of my home and me that she would never consider having an accident or destroying anything in my house. Sara sleeps on her bed (or my bed occasionally) in my room all night with no problems whatsoever. She's very careful to be quiet and never snores! Sara is such a sweet and kind girl. She just needs some love and attention. When she understands that she's well-loved and respected, her self-esteem will skyrocket and there won't be a better companion in the world! This adorable and very, very loyal Maltese/Poodle mix is a non-shedding girl. This breed combination is also considered to be one of the most hypoallergenic available for those with allergy concerns. Sara will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her stunning white hair cottony-soft and matt-free. Sara is being fostered in Denver. Applications are being accepted, and meet 'n greets are currently being set up. If interested in this sweet and very fun and devoted companion, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption. E-mail it to farfelsapps@gmail.com, fax to 303-443-7730, or mail a hard copy to: Farfel's Farm & Rescue, 906 Pearl Street, Boulder, CO 80302. (Less)

Teddy is a 7lb, 1YO, poodle/terrier/spaniel mix. Teddy is SO CUTE! Everybody in our rescue has just fallen in love with him! Nobody can believe that he was just left to die, but then again that happens all the time in Texas with the cutest and sweetest dogs. Teddy loves to play and just makes everybody smile whenever he comes around. His foster mom says he is so full of love and just wants to be near her all the time. She says when she is cooking dinner and he cannot be in the kitchen, he just sits be the kitchen gate and watches her patiently. Teddy loves loves loves other dogs, and does just fine with cats too! Teddy likes to spend ... (Read More)lots of his time cuddled up watching Netflix with his foster mom, she says other than being a puppy and playing, that is his favorite activity. Even though life has not been too nice to Teddy, you would never think that he has been through a hard time since he is so outgoing and loving. Teddy sheds very little/not at all since he is a mix of dogs that do not shed. Because of this, Teddy will need regular grooming appointments! Rescue Me ID: 15-05-22-00449Bella (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Bella is a 1 year old 10 lb poodle. Bella was dumped at a shelter in Texas because her 'family' decided that a dog was too much responsibility and did not want to deal with a dog anymore. Bella was so sweet and loving we do not understand how anybody could ever give her up. The second that anybody goes near her, her whole body starts to wiggle and she starts giving air kisses. All Bella wants to do is be close to people and be loved. Bella has ZERO aggression in her, and could never even hurt a fly. We think that her previous family may have had a dog that was not too kind to her, because whenever a dog goes near Bella she cowers down ... (Read More)and starts shaking, again, no aggression at all, but other dogs do scare her. If she were to be in a home with other dogs, it would have to be a dog that is gentle with her and can teach her that dogs are not mean! Bella would do best in a home with people who have a lot of love and time to give her. She needs a lower energy household and someone who will be patient with her while she learns and grows, just like an rescue dog! Bella just wants to snuggle and learn what life can truly be about. She is the PERFECT lap dog! Her foster mom says that when she is walking, Bella does not even need to be on a leash, she is so good, she just stays near her and will sit when she stops walking. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-21-00008Beverly-PENDING! (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

If you're searching for the most devoted and loving best friend ever....Beverly is the pup you want to have around! Bev, at just about 18 - 24 months old and 15 lbs, is initially a bit hesitant...then the most bonded and loving girl around. Bev enjoys her time with her foster mom so much that she joins her just about everywhere...a true best friend! Bev loves people who are kind to her more than anything..she's a little lap-dog extraordinaire and derives so much joy from her time spent with gentle, dog-loving people. Bev also enjoys other dogs but they also must be gentle and kind. This incredibly adorable pup exudes love and ... (Read More)loyalty...and it's catching! Bev's tough early life has left no visible scars on the personality of this devoted and sweet pup. Her bond to her people leads us to believe that Bev would be happiest in either a dog-loving retiree's home or with a family who enjoys spending lots of time with their furry best friend. She would blossom with the time and attention that this type of family would offer. Bev is also so portable at just 15 lbs that she is able to accompany her family just about anywhere...be it under the seat on a plane or riding shotgun in the car, Bev is ready and willing. She is a welcome guest in every situation...when comfortable, her joy starts with her little wagging tail and works its way to the smile on her cuter-than-cute face. Watch out - before you know it, she's crept into your lap and snuggled up to spend time together. Say the word walk ...or simply play together...and Bev is all over it. Off she'll go in anticipation of not only an adventure, but an interaction with loving humans and friendly dogs. Beverly has an amazing attitude for a dog from a scary shelter... but it was her great temperament that saved this sweet pup's life. Beverly would be very happy in a home where she'll get consistent stimulation, exercise and tons of hugs. A beginning positive reinforcement obedience group class will create additional family bonding as well as promoting great behavior and confidence. Beverly is a non-shedding pup whose breed mix is considered one of the best for those who suffer from allergies Bev will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep her beautiful and cottony-soft coat healthy and matt-free. Bev will arrive on transport in Denver on 5/20. If interested in this sweet and devoted best friend, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com. (Less)

Our sweet and so very cute Miranda couldn't be more loving no matter how hard she may try. Miranda is a 12 - 18 month old, 11 lb Maltese/Poodle mix. She has been waiting so long to be the love of someone's life. Miranda has had a challenging last few months ending up slated for euthanasia in a high-kill Texas shelter that just ran out of space... but she is now safe and sound - never to be cold or hungry again. But with it all, Miranda doesn't hold a grudge and desires only to be the best companion possible. Since she is young, Miranda is a blank slate%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD|open to all possibilities if ... (Read More)treated kindly and with respect. Group training classes with her family and a positive reinforcement trainer would truly serve both Miranda and her people. Together they will learn the skills to have her be a dog that is well-behaved in every situation. It also creates strong bonds of respect between pup and family. Miranda may initially be a bit shy when she's in new situations%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD|but with love (hugs and playtime are awesome) and respect (and of course some great treats), Miranda is on her way to her favorite people's lap! She would also love to come along, be it to a dog-friendly workplace, on vacation or socializing..Miranda would love to be there as Best Friend #1. Miranda's Texas foster mom (who has fallen in love with this engaging little pup) had the following to say about Miranda: Miranda is absolutely the the sweetest baby ever! She is the cutest Maltese/Poodle mix ever with a lot of positive energy and tail wags. She follows us everywhere we go but isn't intrusive or needy. She enjoys chewing on bones and is very appreciative of the great treats we reward with. Miranda loves our mini schnauzer (we think she has a crush on him) and does really well with our gentle dogs. Miranda has truly been such a joy and we wish her the best life ever. We envision Miranda in a home that will provide her with exercise and stimulation. She wouldn't be happy spending long hours alone%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD'%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD%BD|she's far too people-oriented to be happy with that.     Little Man is a 15 week old Terrier poodle mix. Little Man was dumped at a shelter in Houston Texas with his mom and his brother. They all three had such bad flees that they had lost almost all of their fur. When we saw them just shaking in the small pen at the shelter we knew we had to help them. We had them vetted, and transported to CO when they will get the opportunity to start a new life with a family that truly loves them. Little Man and his brother are now so much healthier and their fur it really growing back! They are such happy little guys now. Cookie was so confused because he could understand what he had done wrong to be dumped by the one comfort and stability he ever had. Cookie is now ready to find the love he never truly knew before. Cookie does great with other dogs, but is more of a low key guy. He does not seem to be too interested in playing. Cookie likes to spend his day relaxing on the couch and snuggling up close to you.     There's nothing quite like the energy and silliness of youth...and then they lie their head quietly on your shoulder breathing their warm doggie breath. They're so pure and vulnerable that it's unbearable to think of them in a high-kill shelter! Grizzley, at only 18 - 24 months old and 55 lbs, was facing the end of his life just as it was beginning. Farfel's Georgia rescuers are compassionate and loving and couldn't turn their back on this guy...they rescued Griz just in time. This sweet and engaging Labradoodle (identified by the shelter vets as a Doodle..we're never sure if there isn't Terrier in there. Whatever the mix..Grizzley is the ... (Read More)cutest!) is starting out with great energy...the excellent results of his temperament-testing ended with a transport ticket to Colorado and a new life. Grizzley is an incredibly beautiful guy...with the gorgeous streaks of whitest white interwoven with the shining gold running through the waves of Griz's coat...and of course there are his dark golden ears that are the cutest things ever. Grizzley is appropriately playful and inquisitive for his young age. He would love nothing more than a ball and some friends (either people or dog) to have a great game of catch. Griz would be perfect for hiking the Colorado mountains..it will bring him the greatest joy! He's so smart...very typical of his cross. The other thing that's clear is that he's an amazing lovebug (would love to be a lap dog if it was possible). He's bright, happy and so loving...clearly having no memory of the challenge of his past life and a guardian that had to go into hospice care. Since Griz is such a young guy, he's a blank slate just waiting for a kind and patient human to show him the way. He has all the potential in the world to be an awesome family companion - he can form firm bonds with his family (as well as other dogs and humans) and learn positive socialization skills through a positive reinforcement group Obedience Classes. It does take time and commitment...yet pays off a thousand times over when you have a dog that can accompany you in the world with appropriate behavior. Griz also has to work on his house training skills He is old enough and so smart that we have no doubt that he will learn quickly if given a consistent message. This will involve limiting freedom in the home, taking him out very frequently and treat rewards when he's successful. We've never met a medium-sized, young dog who can't master these skills if his guardian creates proper boundaries. We're open to Griz finding his forever home with a very active retired couple or individual with lots of energy to train and enjoy a young dog. Griz is great with children as well but we would prefer to place him in a home with older kids where his puppyish energy won't be overwhelming and they're old enough to participate in a gentle yet consistent training protocol. Grizzley will be up to date on his vetting and has been neutered. This fulfills our commitment to adopting out healthy and well-balanced dogs. Grizzley's fixing prior to adoption is in line with our commitment to being a part of the solution to pet overpopulation. Grizzley is a stunning combination of shedding and non-shedding breeds but has a very Benji-like coat that would indicate a minimum of shedding. We don't feel, however, that we can guarantee his suitability for an individual with severe allergy challenges. Grizzley will be arriving on transport in Denver from Georgia in early June. Applications can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-18-00438Princeton (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

What a happy and carefree Doodle Princeton is (with a bit of Terrier in there perhaps?) At 18 - 24 months old and currently about 40 lbs (he can still stand to gain weight with his appropriate weight ending up at about 48 lbs), Princeton is a very friendly and engaging guy! He came into a rural Georgia shelter emaciated (weighing just 32 lbs)...clearly having been deprived of food for quite a while. It is for this reason that Princeton takes his food/chews very seriously. He would never hurt the other dogs who represent a threat to his food but will be defensive and be clear that it belongs to him. Princeton will blossom in a home with ... (Read More)the time and desire to teach him behavior with positive guidelines, let him know that food will always be available and teach him what life is like in a safe and secure home. Princeton must also complete his housetraining skills. He is old enough and so smart that we have no doubt that he will learn quickly if given a consistent message. This will involve limiting freedom in the home, taking him out frequently and treat rewards when he's successful. We've never met a medium-sized, young dog who can't master these skills if his guardian creates proper boundaries. Princeton is extremely puppy-like and very, very friendly and engaging. He loves with all his heart and that includes his people and other fun and playful dogs. Everyone Princeton meets has the potential to be a future friend or playmate. Princeton is so warm and friendly that he always hopes every pat and kind word will turn into a lifelong friend. Both humans and other dogs are drawn to Princeton for his positive attitude and kind ways - no human friend can keep from petting Princeton's scruffy, Benji-like coat. It is this love of life that motivated a rural Georgia shelter to put Princeton through Heartworm treatments..his precious life deserved to be saved! Princeton had tested low HW+ and the compassionate shelter workers decided to save this very sweet boy. The heart worm treatment process involves several shots followed by a period of quiet time for the dog. We have found this protocol to be very successful and the dogs go on to live long, happy lives. Princeton has just completed this treatment and will require several weeks of mellow time to insure his lifelong health. We are seeking an adopter to lovingly care for Princeton through this period of quiet. It's quite an easy rehab process as it only entails mellow time with soft words and belly rubs..although Princeton is a playful, fun-loving guy so a crate may periodically have to be used.. All vet bills will be paid and Farfel's will provide premium food and treats for this special boy as he is promised a healthy future. Other dogs seem to really enjoy Princeton's playfulness that is never aggressive...only fun-loving and active. It's very typical for a Doodle to be a great and devoted companion - they're known for their sweet and kind ways. Princeton would fit well into a family with dog-loving and gentle kids as well as dogs. He would benefit from positive reinforcement obedience classes that included the whole family - Princeton is a super-smart guy who truly wants to please and great training will give him the skills to be an excellent adult companion. These type of classes will also bring out the great qualities of this Doodle mix as well as creating a tightly-knit bonding with all family members. Princeton is a non-shedding pup (or very lightly shedding..we can't tell for certain until he loses his more-brittle shelter coat) and will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his shining coat healthy and matt-free. Princeton will be transported to Denver in early June. If interested in this sweet guy who is full of love and personality, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-15-00112Sawyer-PENDING! (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Sawyer was recognized in a very high-kill Kansas shelter for a beautiful face (with the most amazing and expressive eyes you can imagine) and a truly great temperament. His sweet little face peering out from the dim light of his cage was too much for the hearts of the awesome Kansas volunteers. Together... all made the decision that this exceptional Labradoodle had to be saved. Sawyer is just a baby at about 5 - 6 months old and 29 lbs (the vets anticipate Sawyer being about 50 lbs when he's full-grown) with his entire life stretching out in front of him. One thing has always been consistent with Sawyer...he steals the hearts of everyone ... (Read More)involved in his care. His gorgeous and very expressive face speaks of so much love...yet just a touch of pain. Who could leave this beautiful being behind...that's a question no one can understand about the path of Sawyer's life. When a dog ends up on death row that is so filled with hope and promise...Farfel's and all our volunteers search for a great match that will commit to loving and caring for him for life. We can see Sawyer with a couple or individual who is retired or has flexible time to spend walking and pursuing outdoor adventures with a striking chocolate Doodle in tow. Sawyer is such a smart and curious guy that we think he would be a star in positive-reinforcement group obedience class. He would love the challenge and we have no doubt he will excel in learning skills that he will use his entire life. Sawyer would also enjoy gentle children and other dogs in his home ....he would thrive on the fun and fulfillment that he would enjoy. Sawyer would love nothing more than to be a large lap dog (or couch partner) for anyone who would choose to spend a good deal of time with a fuzzy best friend as their best companion. He's extremely pleasant and positive about life in general (after all...he got rescued!) and loves to pass those upbeat feelings along to all he meets. Sawyer can easily fit into almost any family scenario with ease as long as he's loved and stimulated with exercise and mental exchanges. Sawyer is a non-shedding guy and therefore will require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his beautiful coat healthy and matt-free. Sawyer's photo is his just rescued image...he has blossomed into an extraordinarily gorgeous and kind pup who grows sweeter and more devoted each day. Sawyer has been fully vetted, vaccinated and temperament tested to fulfill our commitment to adopt out healthy and well-adjusted pups. We've requested that he be neutered in Kansas prior to his transport to Colorado. We aren't optimistic that this will occur as there are too many dogs and not enough vets in this rural area of Kansas. If it doesn't, Farfel's will be happy to cover all costs for Sawyer's neuter and microchip (if our Denver vet is used) immediately upon his arrival in Colorado. Sawyer will be arriving on transport in Denver on Tuesday 5/1/15. If interested in this sweet and very endearing Doodle, please fill out an application at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/ and submit to farfelsapps@gmail.com. (Less)

Doodle was turned in to a shelter in Houston, Texas with his mom and brother. They had so many flees at the time that their skin was very dry and they had a lot of hair loss. They are now doing better and all their hair is starting to look healthy again! Doodle is the bigger of the two and is much more outgoing. His foster says he loves to play and greet everybody. He gets along great with other dogs and with all people, including kids. They are 10 weeks old now, and Doodle weighs 10 lbs. We are not sure what he is mixed with, but we know his mom was a small 14 lb white poodle since she is in our rescue now too. We think that they are ... (Read More)mixed with some kind of bigger terrier or lab since they are already as big as their mom. The foster mom says that Doodle is very people oriented and loves to snuggle too. Doodle would be a great medium sized Colorado hiking dog! We know that Doodle will shed less than normal dogs since his mom does not shed at all, but we cannot guarantee how little he will shed since we do not know what else he is mixed with. This little man is just a fun loving, very friendly little guy! If you would be interested in Doodle, please email us at sunshinecanyondr@gmail.com (Less)

Poodle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Roo could be that dream come true pup for retirees who love spending their time with a sweet and fun-loving guy who is the most devoted companion around. There's no question that Roo would also do well with gentle kids who enjoy the fun that a sweet little dog brings to a family. We'd feel more comfortable with older children as part of Roo's family not because he's unkind with young kids, but because he only weighs 8 lbs at approximately 9 months old and we want to make certain he's handled gently and respectfully. Roo does love playing and is so entertaining in his silly antics, energy and the love he wants to show to everyone who is ... (Read More)kind to him. The shelter vet identified Roo as a purebred Poodle. We can't commit to his being a purebred...maybe a bit of Bichon, Shih Tzu or another very cute fuzzy breed with a great personality is a part of Roo as well. Roo's sad story is all too common in the scary Kansas shelters....but who could ignore Roo's beautiful face with the dark expressive eyes and the softest coat ever? Roo also has an adorable manner and a desire to bond with anyone who gives him a bit of time to get over his initial shyness. He will then be a loyal and devoted best friend and before you know it... he's in your lap gently loving you with a wag and a kiss. Our awesome Kansas rescuer recognized all of this and knew that there was a home out there that would love, respect and make this little guy a permanent member of their family. Roo's definitely got some votes for one of the more matted, shelter-dirty guys ever... but with a serious grooming, the beauty of this stunning pup will become evident (we'll update with a photo). Roo is a non-shedding guy (considered to be one of the most hypoallergenic) and will therefore require periodic grooming and great nutrition to keep his stunning coat healthy and matt-free. Roo is so pleasant and portable that he can be a part of any adventure....it can be a fun walk, a hike where Roo would love nothing more than to cuddle up in a backpack and watch the trail from above, a visit with dog-loving friends or just an afternoon spending time together cuddling on the couch - all of this would speak to Roo's nature. He would also enjoy the company of other small and gentle doggie playmates - together they could play in the yard, tumble over each other in the most fun way possible and then lie together in the sunshine of a beautiful day. We aren't open to a situation where Roo's family spends their days working full-time outside of the home....we'd like Roo to get more time and attention than is possible with that lifestyle. He'd be a good choice to bring along to a dog-friendly workplace..he'd be overjoyed with the socialization and time spent with his favorite person. Roo is currently in a foster home in Denver. Applications for his adoption are being accepted and can be found at http://farfelsrescue.com/adoption/. If you're interested in this sweet and cuddly companion, please fill out and return to farfelsapps@gmail.com. Meet 'n greets are being set up to meet this very special and exceptional companion.     Lady is just as sweet as can be. Lady was dumped at a shelter in Houston, Texas, with her two puppies. She was so scared and alone and did not understand why her family did not want her anymore. Even though she seems to have had a rough life, it has not stopped her at all from loving humans and wanting to be around them. Lady only weighs 12 lbs and is 1.5 years old. We believe that she is a poodle maltese mix because we have not seen any shedding from her, and her fur is just beautiful like a Maltipoo. She gets along well with other mellow dogs, but big puppies such as lab puppies stress her out. She also does great with cats. She ... (Read More)is a VERY quiet dog, does not bark at all. She is also a very mellow dog. Lady's perfect family would be a retired individual or couple that has lots of time and love to give to her. As long as she can snuggle on the couch with you and knows that everything is okay she is one happy little girl. Lady is not fully potty trained, but her foster has been working very hard with her on it. The foster said that Lady is INCREDIBLY human food motivated, so it has been making it very easy to train her and to gain her trust. Whenever someone comes up to pet Lady she rolls over for belly rubs, she is truly just as cute as can be! If you are interested in Lady, Please email us at sunshinecanyondr@gmail.com (Less)

It's hard to imagine this truly beautiful (inside & out) Schnoodle (Schnauzer/Poodle mix) in a high-kill shelter in Houston. A compassionate Farfel's rescuer saved Wilma's life and nursed her body and spirit back to joy and well-being. It's now getting to the time when Wilma is ready to be transported to her new life in Colorado. Although it will be terribly hard for Wilma's Texas foster mom to say goodbye...she knows that she will have a great life. The following is a description of Wilma by her foster mom: -- Wilma is such a sweet girl just waiting to blossom. I've enjoyed watching her learn that the world can be a loving and positive ... (Read More)place. Wilma had a hard start - but now she's learning about treats, belly rubs and that she's a very valuable pup! She may very well be initially shy or frightened, but just give her a bit of time and you'll have a new best friend (I know I did!). Wilma loves to run and play outside...she has the appropriate amount of energy for a 9 - 12 month old, 40 lb healthy pup. She would do very well with a family who is home a lot to hike with, play with and entertain with her silly antics - she would love that! After she's had exercise and stimulation, she's ready to chill on the couch. Wilma loves to snuggle, be petted and has been said to not get overly grumpy about grooming..we'll let you know since she desperately needs a spa day. Her potentially gorgeous golden and chocolate-colored, non-shedding hair will require care...a periodic grooming and great nutrition would be perfect to keep her coat as beautiful as it can be. Wilma appears to be fine with other dogs but appreciates those that are respectful. She has been great with my 14 and 15 year old daughters and me! I haven't seen her around smaller kids, so that's an unknown. She's excellent with my mom, but might be a bit energetic for a very advanced senior. Wilma is a truly smart pup - true to her breeds!! What a gem of a best friend for a family who wants to include a very cute and sweet dog in their life. She has the potential to be a truly devoted and loyal companion. Farfel's is very excited to participate in finding this special Schnoodle her forever family. Wilma will be arriving on transport in Boulder on 5/1/15.
