MEET: LOGAN Logan is a small male, white/cream poodle. He is right at a year old. He is listed AKC as a toy poodle but seems a little big to be a toy. He was chosen from a breeder as a 9 weeks old puppy. Sadly, his dad has cancer & they have had to move to an apartment near the hospital where he is receiving treatments. They could no longer buy his food, pay to groom him,his heart worm preventative, or have the time to spend with him he needs. He still has to be groomed better but I wanted to remove as many mats as possible without trying to clip him to the skin. People do lie to me when I rescue so I do try to check everything I can ... (Read More)out. ABOUT LOGAN: He is so sweet, very calm, laid back, & a cuddle bug. He walks well on a leash. He is 100% house trained. Gets along with both big dogs and small dogs. He will bark if anyone comes to the door, opens the gate, or comes in the yard. He minds good and loves to ride. Logan loves to sleep with the human, sit by the human, and be where the human is. I don't think he's had a lot of toys in his life time and he was eating a lot of human food or a dog food with corn & grains. He is heartworm negative and on a heartworm preventative. He was extremely easy to bath and after a few reminders ( be still, please) did well when he was getting those mats cut out. His previous vet is sending his records to me & has e-mailed some He is not neutered & they had considered letting him stud with a relatives toy. They phoned me for help because I think, they were so overwhelmed in debt that he hasn't gotten the attention or care he needed for a very long time. NOW: He seems happy. Follows me every step I take. Loves being indoors. TO ADOPT: ASK me for the applications. Fill out the applications. You must have a fenced in Yard. NO small children. (toddlers) I will adopt out of state as long as home inspections can be done/arranged. I check all references, vets, groomers, etc. I think his ideal home: an older couple, or single human, someone who would let him share their lap, bed, & love. Be physically able to take him for walks and allow him to go for rides. You must be able to afford to either pay a groomer or be able to groom him yourself. He will need to see a vet for wellness checks. There is a fee! I base fees on the dogs age, what I've spent in vet fees, etc. Right now, he does have a minor allergy which the vet feels is due to the food he was eating. I will update as more info is learned. He is eager to eat , loves treats, & knows to ask if he has to go out before you take him. He has explored all the land here, gone to every tree, walked in grass taller than he is, but hasn't tried to destroy ( toys, anything human, or tried to get into) anything he shouldn't. When I call him, he runs to me. He is not the personality to bolt or run away. He kind of looks like he has a huge smile on his face. If the big dogs ( standard puppy) tries to take away his treat, he has learned to growl back at him. ( that ends that right then) . I do not charge for applications. I am in NO WAY associated with the group known as: GA RESCUE. This sweetheart needs a forever home. Thank you for considering a rescue (Less)

This is Mozart. Mozart is a 8 month old, AKC, white/cream male standard Poodle Puppy. This will be a big poodle, weighing around 60 to 65 pounds when he reaches adulthood. Mozart hasn't had an easy life. The people who had him, had no time for him so he stayed in a crate. The husband didn't like him and Mozart was afraid of both of them. Mozart was both abused and neglected. I have spoken with his breeder to try to learn more about him. ( MOSTLY to let her know, I bought & paid the vet bills for this puppy to get it to safety.) He is still on the skinny side but is gaining weight. I've transitioned him to Nutro grain free puppy food and ... (Read More)he's gaining right at 4 pounds a week. He has been health tested and was treated for an ear infection, was wormed, has all his shots, & vaccinations. Mozart was heart worm negative and is now on a heart worm preventative. He has had to learn house rules . He 100% HOUSE TRAINED. He loves toys, loves to have the other adult standards play with him, loves to play fetch, chases the other rescue puppy who is older than him, knows he gets treats at night ( & will worry me to death until he gets his his), loves to ride, loves being outdoors, is doing great on a leash but really likes being able to run free from a leash. Mozart minds well when he knows what is expected of him. To adopt him: You must have a fenced yard, **REQUEST the applications for adoptions ( from me)***, have references checked, home inspection, & since this is a puppy, someone needs to be home with him. He would do better with someone with standard poodle experience and in a home with other standards or with big dogs. Standard poodles require at least 64 ounces of water every day and can drink more in hot weather or according to their activity level. Mozart is still a puppy so is using his mouth to explore and will touch me quiet often. He is very loving and very sweet. He responds well to praise and treats. Mozart does great when being bathed or groomed.( by me or a paid groomer) He always wants to be wherever the human is. Most of the time, by the time I get most of the toys up, he's dragging more out. Mozart is active and like most standards know when he can push your buttons and when to stop. Mozart is a clown and can be so goofy acting. He is also gentle, knows what is the humans & what he can play with, he has free roaming rights here and is never crated. Mozart can make all sorts of vocal noises. He loves to carry toys around with him and loves to get one of the other dogs to chase him. I think he would do well with a couple, a single person, or a family. I do not adopt to anyone who has toddlers. Mozart would do good with kids over 6 years old. I will adopt out of state as long as I can do the home inspections. * I do check all references.* Standards usually live from 12 to 15 years. My oldest one was active and lived to be almost 19. This is a very active dog & requires physical exercise and mental exercise. IF you continue with his training now, you will have a well mannered, socialized dog for life. He is a smart dog but also observes and learns. After he has exercised, he is content play with his toys . I am no way associated with the group known as GA rescue & do NOT accept their application forms , nor do I charge for application forms. I have the applications so you must ask for them from me. Thank you for considering a rescue and for looking at Mozart' profile. Make the DREAM come true. (Less)
