Ebony is an 11 yr. old 8 pound black poodle. She has been a member of our family since she was 8 weeks old. She has had a couple of tooth extractions, which seems to be common in small dogs, and her eyes are cloudy, but she sees just fine, with maybe a little more difficulty in the dark. She loves people, but is not so fond of other animals. She is not aggressive with them unless they invade her space and then it is just an unfriendly warning to stay away. We are retiring and will be traveling a great deal so we need to find a loving home for her very soon. She loves going for walks, sitting on warm laps, and sharing small treats! I ... (Read More)keep a close watch on her diet and she has stayed pretty trim and active. She sleeps in her crate which she loves, and she also has a plush bed, a favorite toy, and grooming equipment that will go to her new home with her. She loves to ride in the car, and meet new people, but mostly she just wants to be on a warm lap and the object of affection! Ebony is the best dog I have ever had the pleasure to be associated with, and the smartest. She is well trained and very obedient. She would make a great companion for an older adult or couple. Poodle Dogs can make good pets in Michigan if they match your IifestyIe. Poodles come in several different varieties which are classified based on size. Generally, smaller Poodle varieties tend to be more hyperactive while larger Poodles are more mellow. Poodles love people and are good with children and other dogs. Poodles are easy to train. This breed can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise.
