|Rescue Me ID: 16-04-30-00108Josie (female)|
We got Josie when she was a puppy from a local breeder. At that time we did not have any kids, now we have two small children. We have decided to place her in another home because we don't feel that we are the best fit for her any longer with out attention mainly on the kids and rarely on her. She's a good dog and LOVES people. We have a cat and they get along very well and 'play' together. Our small children play with Josie and she does fairly well with it but growls if the kids get too aggressive but she never bites. She will be 4 years old around summer/fall. She's in good health and has never had any medical issues. She is a red poodle and cavalier king charles spaniel mix. Currently weighs about 16-18 pounds. She does not shed and we get her groomed ever other month and she's cute with short or long hair :) We never fully trained her which means she knows sit, stay and come but she obeys about 50% of the time. She is potty trained and rings a bell when she needs to go out but sometimes she will pee in the house if you don't let her out in time. I'm sure with proper training she will obey 100% and not have any accidents. She is eager to satisfy so I think she would learn quickly. When we leave the house (and she stays home) she gets anxious so she whines, she may have some separation anxiety. Currently she is in a kennel during the work day (7am-5pm) and then she is out with us the rest of the night and sleeps in our bed. We leave food and water out for her at all times so she is not fed at specific times. She will beg for human food and tries to grab it when you're not looking. All of these things I'm sure can be corrected with the proper training. We hope to place her with someone who is committed to keeping her forever. We feel horrible that we won't be those people to her and want to make sure she doesn't keep getting passed around. (Less)

All black Bulldog x Poodle male intact. super sweet and gentle. Good boy. Bulldog is looking for a loving home. He will be a low sheder. He was left with me by a friend that divorced and she can't keep him and neither can I. He is a big dog weighing 60-65 pounds. Wiry hair. Gentle and laid back. Good for family or retired couple. In fantastic shape and up to date on shots. Never neglected nor abused although needs to be house trained and just normal leash stuff as he has been mostly on our farm. 507-534-3311

|Rescue Me ID: 16-03-30-00473Violet (female)|
Violet is the sweetest dog in the world. She is not spayed. She is not house trained but wouldn't take much to get it done. She would be fabulous for a quiet retired couple who wants a very sweet, demure and loving QUIET dog. Violet is NON-SHEDDING. She would be okay for a family but is submissive and in the wrong hands could be abused. She needs a loving home and with treats and time, she will be the best dog for a quiet person/couple.

Loving 8 year old male Chihuahua/poodle mix dog. Best in a one dog household and is most compatible with a female owner. Has shown dominance and some aggression towards men. We have had him since he was a puppy (8 wks old) and are unsure where his fear/anxiety being around men came from. He is very smart, house trained, knows sit/stay/lay down/roll over/shake, comes with training collar. He is invisible fence trained as well. He has average energy and loves going on walks, and does well at the dog park. He does fine with groomers (female) and at the vet. He loves playing fetch! We want him to go to a positive, loving environment where he will be well cared for. (Less)

Poodle Dogs can make good pets in Minnesota if they match your IifestyIe. Poodles come in several different varieties which are classified based on size. Generally, smaller Poodle varieties tend to be more hyperactive while larger Poodles are more mellow. Poodles love people and are good with children and other dogs. Poodles are easy to train. This breed can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise.
