Rescue Me ID: 14-08-28-00500Oreo (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Not Good w/ Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: High Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered

Oreo is one high energy puppy! I received him from a friend of mine. Her daughter had bought him, thinking he'd be a perfect lapdog, but obviously she didn't know enough about Jack Russells (and JRT mixes), and turns out neither did we! I thought he'd be an average energy dog, but he's actually more of a handful than I'd thought. He really needs a higher energy family than us. He'd do best with an adult (or with older kids) with a nice sized backyard and that can offer company for most of the day and that wants a small dog that can roll with the punches of an active lifestyle. Oreo hasn't interacted with a lot of dogs in his life so he's a ... (Read More)little socially awkward, I'd much rather have his new owner introduce him to other dogs (i.e dogs of friends, meeting other dogs on walks) than being forced to live with one. He doesn't show too much interest in chasing the stray cats and/or wild turkeys around here but I wouldn't want to stress out any resident feline (or ferret, or bird, or rabbit, etc.) and he is good at sounding the alarm if someone is at the door. He has some skin problems but the vet gave us a special shampoo to help with it. He is fed Beneful dog food and will come with his vet records, shampoo, leash, collar, and harness for the car. Rescue Me ID: 14-07-29-00349Lucky (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Lucky is a very nice fun loving dog that acts like a cat. He will willingly lay on your lap for a belly rub anytime. He is crate trained but sometimes gets confused on doing his business outside and still likes to use puppy pads. He would be well suited with people around all the time to give him a lot of attention.

lnteresting Poodle Trivia Low-Cost New Jersey Spay & Neuter Clinics
Poodles appear in art from ancient Rome. Poodles do not shed and are popular for breeding with other dogs to produce a relatively non-allergenic hybrid. Poodles have been used as circus performers. The name Poodle comes from a German word describing someone who likes the water. Poodles are widely considered to be French, but there is debate over whether they may have originated in Germany or Denmark.
