No Toddlers Please. Opie was born about February 10, 2015 and weighs about 15 lbs. He came to us as a Maltese, but we are throwing a bit of Poodle in since his hair has a loose curl to it. He is a really cute little guy that is here because he doesn't care tor the toddling grandchild. He is good with dogs and cats alike. He is house trained, but we always like to warn humans that sometimes these small dogs benefit from having a potty floor pad handy. He is fine on leash and will hang with your when you are outside doing your chores. Here is a note from his previous mom: 'My little Opie is a unique little dog. He has a wonderful ... (Read More)personality but doesn't like to be grabbed at. The reason why I have to give him away is because my grandson lives with us and he tries to grab and pull his hair and Opie will nip/bite at him. He likes to sleep at night with you. The only thing he does that is odd with other animals is that he bites their whiskers and has a tendency to clean their teeth. He has a tendency to itch because I think sometimes he is nervous.' So, now we are going to discuss the itching and some hair loss on his back near his tail. When acquired the vet recommended a better food than Alpo. So the next time they visited he was on Come and Get It. These foods are like you eating at a fast food burger joint everyday - just imagine what that would do to your hair, skin, and body!!!! Going forward he should have a food with NO red food coloring as many dogs have allergies to that and no dyes at all with be even better. He should also be put on a grain free diet such as one of the Blue Buffalo varieties. He's little, it's not like it's going to cost a ton to feed him no matter how pricey the food. If you give up a couple of those fun coffees a week and make your own at home that would be plenty to feed this little guy. He's a nice little dog that is going to find just the right home this time around. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $300.00. (Less)

lnteresting Poodle Trivia Low-Cost New York Spay & Neuter Clinics
Poodles appear in art from ancient Rome. Poodles do not shed and are popular for breeding with other dogs to produce a relatively non-allergenic hybrid. Poodles have been used as circus performers. The name Poodle comes from a German word describing someone who likes the water. Poodles are widely considered to be French, but there is debate over whether they may have originated in Germany or Denmark.
