Hettie is an eleven pound/eleven year old sweetie who wants to be someone's lap dog. She was the adored pet of a senior couple (one passed/other in nursing home). She likes all gentle children and adults, but she becomes absolutely devoted to one person at a time. She likes to play fetch, but isn't always good at returning the ball. She barks loudly at outside noises and strangers who come into the home. She loves walks, but grows tired after 2 or 3 miles. She also answers to Honey because that is what her owners called her on a daily basis. Her back has sometimes bothered her, but there has been no evidence of trouble for the last ... (Read More)year. Hettie is a very smart, playful dog who will make a great companion for years to come. (Less)

Poodle Mix    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Low Energy, Submissive
Health: Spayed

Coco is perfection in so many ways. She has the most beautiful personality and lots of love to give. She is a 1o year old shih Tzu poodle mix. Coco is great with everyone including dogs and children. Cats are not known as far as living together however. Coco has health issues which her new family will have to know about. Coco is diabetic and until we took her in the family didn't buy her insulin which the vet recommended she needed to lead a healthy life. We have now put her on the medication and she is doing well. Coco has dental disease and she ill be having a full dental. She also had mammary tumors which we had removed and we ... (Read More)are super happy to say they were not cancerous. She was spayed at the time of surgery as well. Within a few weeks Coco will be ready for a family of her own. Insulin shots are very easy for most dogs. She is good for them and as she trusts her care taker the insulin injections after her meals becomes part of a routine. She is so easy going. We are checking her from head to toe. We will share her complete history with her potential adopters. Long Island adopter only. Newbeginningresq@aol.com for more info (Less)
