Rescue Me ID: 16-06-23-00146Toby (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Toby!!! Toby is an adorable little guy. This little guy is around 7-8 years old. He is a poodle mix. Toby has a wonderful personality. He's very sweet and loving. He rides well in a car and does great on a leash. Toby does well with most other dogs and kid. However, we do prefer a home with older children due to his small size. Toby would do best in a home with someone that has time to take him for walks, snuggle with him and love him. He does not require a home with a fenced in yard as long as it is a home that has time to take him for daily walks so he can get his exercise. If you don't have time to do this daily then he will need a ... (Read More)home with a fenced in yard so he can run and play. His adoption fee is $250 which covers his vaccinations, rabies, neuter and microchip. If you are interested in adopting Toby please email for an application. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 16-06-22-00203Einstein (male)

Poodle    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Einstein came to us from a county animal shelter in a nearby county. To the credit of the staff at the shelter, they were begging for someone to rescue Einstein because he was completely 'shutting down' at the shelter. They believed that he was a Shih Tzu mix. As soon as he arrived here at the clinic we could tell that he was a total sweetheart but just a tad scared. After settling in, his personality started to shine even though his physical body was just a mass of fur! When we started trying to come up with a name we thought we needed to name him after someone with lots of fluffy white hair. That is how we came up with Einstein. Once ... (Read More)Einstein was groomed we realized that he was mostly Poodle, not Shih Tzu and Einstein didn't really fit his looks! That is how he became Prince Albert! Below are his before and after photos. Einstein would love to have a home with another playful pup as he loves to run 'zoomies' around the back yard and play with the other dogs here at the clinic. If you are interested in him, please fill out an application which you can find under the adoption tab. (Less)

Animal ID: kole061616mrfKOLE (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Kole! This little 10-lb., 2 1/2-year-old Maltipoo is just as sweet and loving as he is cute! Unfortunately, he ended up homeless when his family had to move, unable to take him along. Kole has quickly adapted to his new foster home with multiple dogs, both big and small. He does not yet play with them, but gets along very well with everybody. Kole has very good housemaners and is well housetrained and crate trained. Even though he is currently sleeping in a crate at night, he is used to cuddling with his guardian... and we know he would love being able to sleep in 'the big bed' once again. Kole rides well in the car, and walks well on ... (Read More)a leash. He enjoys the company of his foster family's grandchildren when they visit, so we feel he would be fine in a home with older children. Kole is a little love-bug, and wants to be with somebody during the day, so we are looking for a home where he can have the human companionship that he needs. A home with or without another canine companion would be fine... just as long as he has his human companion. Does little Kole sound as if he could be your perfect canine companion? Kole is neutered, microchipped, current on his Rabies, DHP/Parvo, and Bordetella vaccines, tested negative for Heartworms, and is on Heartworm and flea prevention prevention. Kole's adoption fee is $250.00. Forever Home Canine Rescue offers a 3-week trial period with all our adoptions, just to be sure that the pet is a good match for the adoptive family. The adoption fee is refunded if the adoption does not work out within the trial period. We want to be sure that each of our pets will have the perfect 'forever' home! Forever Home Canine Rescue adopts out-of-state, but we never 'ship' or 'transport' our pets. An approved adopter must come to North Carolina to meet their new canine companion and then take him/her back home with them. If you are interested in Kole and think he may be your ideal canine companion, please visit our website at for information on our adoption process and to download an application, or you may e-mail us at for additional information, or to request an application. Poodle Mix    Age: Young Puppy

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Neutered, Vaccinations Current

True story: This woman bought what she thought was a purebred Standard Poodle. The dog looks like a Standard Poodle( I saw her) so she decides to breed the dog with a friend's dog who is a purebred Standard poodle. Sheldon is the result of this breeding and he does not look like a poodle. How can that happen??? Well, I think that mama dog is in fact not purebred even though she looks like it. She must be a poodle/Aussie/Lab mix. So here is Sheldon, not a purebred poodle but nonetheless a beautiful baby boy in his search for his forever home. He comes more after an Aussie/Lab mix however his fur is silky and fuzzy. I think he is gorgeous. Of ...     Hey everyone, this is Oliver. This little guy is a small poodle weighing about 8 lbs and is 4 years old. Sweet Oliver is looking for his forever home. Oliver is house broken and knows some commands. This baby needs a quiet and calm environment. He would not do well in a home with any small children. He tends to get attached to one person. He is a calm and laid back dog. He is fine around other dogs. If you would like to consider making Oliver a part of your family please email his foster mom for an application.
