Rescue Me ID: 16-09-18-00228Bruce (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Very Submissive
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected,
 Fearful/Anxious

Bruce is a special needs dog with chronic anxiety issues. Due to this, he lost his first home at less than a year old and his second at eight years after chronic abuse. His anxiety is now largely controlled with a daily dose of Prozac and consistent behavior expectations. Despite all this, Bruce is a cuddly, loving dog who wants nothing more than to be a good boy. He is excellent on the leash and loves to go on walks, long or short. He is also great for car rides. Bruce may bark at a dog passing by, but is excellent with other dogs in a living environment. While he has never interacted with cats, he has seen them wandering around the vet's ... (Read More)office and has shown nothing more than passing interest. Due to his anxiety, he will not be placed in a family with children. Bruce will come with a full contingent of supplies to ease his transition into a new family, including a crate, food, toys, treats, and at least one month's supply of medication. He also has a full medical history, is up to date on all medical needs, and is in excellent health. Overall, Bruce is looking for a calm, consistent, supportive home that is in need of a good snuggling. Feel free contact me for more information about Bruce. (Less)
