Rescue Me ID: 17-08-22-00116Justin of Irmo (male)

Poodle    Age: Adult

Date into Rescue: 4/14/2015 Reason for being in rescue: Turned into a shelter because his owner no longer wanted him Foster location: Steve in Irmo, SC Special Needs? Justin had cataract surgery in his right eye - he has regained his sight in that eye and it is doing well. He has glaucoma in his left eye and needs eye drops. He does very well with them! Weight: 14 lb Fence needed: No What is my personality like? Justin is the kind of guy who knows what he wants - his tennis ball, his person, and mostly being a homebody. He is a chill kind of guy who is not overly fond of getting out and socializing and that's ok. He'll do it; he's just ... (Read More)inexperienced with it and will most likely always prefer hanging out around the house. People have different personalities and not all of of us are super social either. So we totally get that and know we can find someone who totally gets it too. He is stubborn, but also a gentle and smart soul. What kind of home would be best for me? One that understands that Justin is and will always be a quirky little guy, but he absolutely wants to share his heart with someone. He can be extremely stubborn and will, for example, decide he doesn't want to do one thing or another. He doesn't like to be crated or contained, but he's a perfect gentleman if left to roam in the house. He is more of a homebody. He will go out in public, but it tends to stress him out. He may benefit from some one-on-one training with a dog trainer on things like this as we think he was just not well socialized or properly trained by his previous owner. He has made it clear that he wants to be the only pet in his house - you only need room in your heart for him, right? And he is very particular about grooming, so will need to develop a bond with an experienced groomer. He really is a good boy - just quirky! Again - he's a perfect gentlemen in the house when left home alone. No accidents nor does he mess with anything. He doesn't mind having his teeth brushed. He will follow you around like your little shadow. He absolutely wants to be with his person. And he LOVES LOVES his green tennis ball. How do I act when I first meet new people? Shy and nervous, but he warms up Notes from his foster home: 'Justin is definitely a homebody. In public, he will bark and is unruly in general towards. And his stubbornness. He will walk on a leash but only as far or where he wants to. When he decides it's not to his liking he will just stop and set down. I will have to pick him up and carry him to get him started again. He is difficult to contain in an enclosed area. I have just been leaving him out when I leave and he hasn't caused any problems being unsupervised. No chewing or urination in the house. Our obedience training didn't go well at all, on his last day of class when we were to show our progress he refused to do any of the commands we had worked on. He did get a certificate but only because we attended every session and they already had it prepared. His stubbornness again. Grooming is still difficult also. He's still resistant to being brushed and puts up a struggle when brushed. He is also not a fan of just anybody bathing him. He will need to form a bond with his groomer. Justin does have some good points though. Surprisingly he doesn't mind having his teeth brushed. He does well when I leave him alone to go to the gym at 5:30 AM. He follows me around most of the day, he will cry if I have to leave him alone during the day though. I think he will make someone a good companion with some work. Justin always wants to be with you. He follows me around all day. Sometimes when I think he's sleeping I will go to another room for something and I look down and there he is. Justin LOVES his ball. He has a green tennis ball we brought from the farm and it is his favorite. I bought him some new balls that were orange and he will have nothing to do with them. I have another ball that is the same color and still he wants his old favorite.' House trained? Yes, in his foster home. Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: est. birth date 04/18/2009 (Less)

Weight: 14 lbs Height: 12' at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $249 Fence needed? No What kind of home would be best for me? I would love a home where I can kick back with my humans and be spoiled. What is my personality like? I am the type of dog that wouldn't want nothing more than to curl up beside you on a rainy day and snooze the day away. While with my cottage mates I normally just lay around in the sun and watch everyone play until I see a human walk in and then I run straight to ... (Read More)them! Rescue Me ID: 17-08-22-00105Jackson of Georgia (male)

Poodle    Age: Adult

Meet Jackson! Breed: Doodle (F2) 3/4 poodle, 1/4 lab Gender: male Adoption Fee: $300 Date into Rescue: 6/24/2015 Reason for being in rescue: Owner surrender, not enough time for him Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? No Weight: Est 65 lbs Height: Est 26 in What is my personality like? Jackson came to CPR in 2012. He had some weird behavioral issues and one of our employees at the time took him on. Jackson was thriving wonderfully until recently. Unfortunately, his owner got a new job where he was working long hours, which meant Jackson was spending a lot of time in his crate. As we all know, ... (Read More)doodles need exercise - and lots of it! Overall, Jackson is a sweet, affectionate dog. He does have a dominate side to him, so he needs a very strong owner who has experience. He would do best as an only dog, as he does not get along with most. He does okay with submissive large female dogs only. Jackson is also not a big fan of kids. He does great with strong adults. He is a happy and playful dog who loves to chase a tennis ball! He has manners and is well trained but enforcing this takes a strong leader. Jackson knows sit and lay, he is house trained and crate trained. Jackson recently spent one-on-one time with one of our caregivers who shared the following: 'Jackson is full of energy and enjoyed fetching the ball. Listens to sit command very well. A little aggressive when taking treats but not too bad. Needs work walking on a leash. When inside he could not stop moving, was being playful and loving.' Update 7/13/2017: Jackson recently had a fatty like mass removed from his side and has recovered well. He is now back up for adoption and is looking for his right person! Jackson does however still have a habit of mounting certain people, but with the a stern voice- he knows to stop. Jackson has improved but would improve even more so if he could have one on one time with someone daily. At the end of the day; Jackson is just a huge puppy, and very energetic when let out of his run. He truly does not know his age. He enjoys running around in the field and picking up as many toys as his nose leads him to. Jackson does know his commands, and is very intelligent. If the right person would give him a chance, he would benefit greatly! Age: 2/24/2009 Who am I seeking? A very strong leader who has experience with dominant large dogs. A home where there are no other animals except him (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 17-08-22-00101Buster Noble (male)

Poodle    Age: Puppy

I'm your best bud let's go and let's do! I wanna see the world at your side! Date into Rescue: 06/13/2015 Reason for being in rescue: Buster was released to CPR in 2016 when his very busy family (4 kids) realized there was too much human activity in their home. He was rehomed to a couple who thought they wanted a service dog but after several months, the partner who was disabled realized he did not want a service dog. In that 8 months Buster received a lot of training and it made him a much better dog. You can run him through his cues- he knows a lot! Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Lots and lots and ... (Read More)lots of energy, needs experienced owner who understands and will stay on top of his behavior. BUSTER'S PREFERENCE IS FOR A STRONG MALE LEADER IN HIS HOME. HE LOVES MEN. Weight: est 55 lbs - needs to be 65 he's a long and lanky kind of guy Height: est 27' at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $499 Fence needed? Yes at least 4' tall. Buster easily jumps a 3' baby gate What kind of home would be best for me? An experience standard poodle owner, preferrably a man or a couple. Buster needs a strong, committed calm assertive leader who understands this boy needs shaping and molding. Buster is very, very bright and needs to be constantly challenged to learn new things and find new outlets for his energy. I see this slowing down when he's about 14 years old but not before. What is my personality like? Wide open. Completely and totally at about twice the rate of a normal standard poodle. He's always the first at the door, he's always the first up if you move, he's always first. Tail wagging, tongue hanging out he's ready for action. Buster is a live wire who takes life in big bites. He will resource guard and misbehave if his owner is not totally confident in his abilities to be Buster's leader. With the right owner Buster will lay his heart at your feet and follow you to the ends of the earth. Buster currently lives with many other dogs in a large foster home. He has gotten along well with his siblings although at times of high excitement (when mom or dad comes home, when going outside to romp) he can be what appears to be aggressive but is not. His current favorite running mate is another wide open no holds barred kind of guy - who happens to be a chihuahua. To the unobservant it looks like Buster is being too rough but a lot of it is simply because he's so much bigger. The chihuahua is right back at him and they off they go. Buster may not need a 5 lb playmate in his home but with an active happy sibling more his own size he would do okay. He'd be okay as an only dog also if you give him the attention he must have. No crating - he gets far too anxious in a crate. He's not destructive at all, does not tear up the house so we hope that is not an issue for too many people. Buster currently sleeps at the bottom of his foster dad's bed, curled up neatly and occasionally reaching out to make sure Dad is there, happy to be near his human guy. No kids - Buster's first home had 4 and in Buster's opinion, he needs to be the big kid in the family. How I act when I first meet new people: He's a bit tentative but we've found out the secret. Buster can be bought and he's cheap. Come bearing soft, chewy or smelly treats and he's eating out of your hands in under 30 seconds. Hot dogs are big favorites. Pupperoni is right up there also. House trained? Buster is doing much better in this area - at first he had some marking issues when going from being an only dog to a busy household with multiple dogs . He needs schedule and once on schedule he is very good in the house. Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: birthdate 06/13/2015 (Less)

(Read More)the beagle mix pups that we have that are about 6 months old, I even referee when they get a little rough! How I act when I first meet new people: Pierre does not trust many people at first but once you give him some goodies he'll be just fine. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. Addison's Disease Weight: 40 lbs Height: Estimated 21' at the shoulder. Adoption Fee: $299 Fence needed? Yes, he loves to play. What kind of home would be best for me? Lance was originally an owner release due to the family expanding.. and with Lance's Addisons Disease, it was just too much for ... (Read More)the family to deal with. Lance needs a special person to see through his disease and treat him like the normal puppy that he is. As soon as you meet him, the first thing you will notice is how lively he is. Rescue Me ID: 17-05-18-00086Scarlett with Kinsley (female)

Poodle    Age: Adult

Date into Rescue: 11/15/2016 Reason for being in rescue: Found as stray in eastern North Carolina. Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Scarlett and her sister Kinsley will not be split up. Please don't even ask. they need a quiet home with very few visitors. Weight: 9 lbs Height: about 10' at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $299 for both girls together Fence needed? Yes - Scarlett and Kinsley are very timid and will run if given the chance until they bond to their caregiver. There is no way they are ready to go potty on leashes. While they are bonded here we still don't trust them and they are in an area that ... (Read More)is securely fenced when they are outside for sunshine and potty time. What kind of home would be best for me? A quiet home - prefer an adult only home simply because most children have frequent friends over and these two could not handle that. We're looking for a very quiet home with few visitors. Scarlett and Kinsley do not trust others. Scarlett and Kinsley have met a very dog savvy 4 year old and did well with her including taking treats but this is a who is incredibly gentle with dogs (she lives with a toy poodle in a wheelchair). As long as these two are together, they are fine if you work all day but we highly recommend a mid day potty break for them. They are crate trained and sleep together in a large wire crate. We do not recommend you give them free roam of the house for a very long time. They will eventually learn it but they know how to hide and they will hide from you at first. What is my personality like? Before these two open up to you, they are timid and afraid. They will both need a lot of work and patience for to flourish into their true nature which we have finally seen. If you have patience and time, and it could be 3 to 6 months before you see their loving natures - but at the end you are going to find yourself with two little girls who like their people and are a lot of fun. With us, they run to greet us. They take treats willingly from known hands. They play with stuffed toys. They enjoy being picked up and loved on once they get completely comfortable. They are easy to groom and seem to like being groomed. They are well behaved on the grooming table. How I act when I first meet new people: Timid and afraid. These two are not going to come to you until they bond to you and that will take, we think, at least 90 days. These two are a beautiful project. House trained? Boy this was a challenge but they are getting better. Apparently wherever they were, they just went. Even crate training and convincing them that it was okay and not only acceptable but a must that they control themselves all night took months. Now they've finally got it. They now go outside first thing in the am and they will use a pee pad if it is available. I think the new owner needs to expect a lot of accidents in the first few months until they trust you. They'll get it - eventually. Patience patience patience. My age: Estimated birth date 11/15/2010 Please note - we do not ship dogs. Rescue Me ID: 17-04-25-00084Benny Griffin (male)

Poodle    Age: Puppy

Date into Rescue: 07/20/2016 Reason for being in rescue: found as a stray in Atlanta GA Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Benny needs a calm home, an experienced owner and a structrued environment Weight: est 18 lbs Height: est 10' at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $200 Fence needed? no What kind of home would be best for me? Benny was found as a stray in a bad neighborhood in Atlanta, Georgia. He must have been very frightened and had a rough life during his time on the streets because Benny can be very jumpy and scares easily at loud noises and fast movement. Because of this, Benny would do best in a ... (Read More)quiet and calm environment with no children and with a patient adopter who will allow him room to breathe as he transitions into a new home. He will need time to decompress and get comfortable with his new surroundings and his new owners. What is my personality like? Benny was very frightened when he first came to us here at the farm, but he is now starting to trust our caregivers and he is becoming more comfortable. He now comes up and gently jumps on your leg to ask for some affection. He loves to go outside on walks and is doing well so far with his leash training. He enjoys a good roll around in the grass. Benny lives in a cottage with eighteen other dogs and gets along well all of them. Benny would do well in a calm, quiet home where he can get to know his new family well enough to fully trust them without his buttons being pushed. Benny was adopted and then returned due to biting the owner twice. We have not had any bite incidents with him while he has been back at the farm. Noted from caregiver- Benny is an adorable little guy with a quirky personality. It took a little while to get this guy to warm up to me, and even then, he could take me or leave me. Benny did well with the leash. He did well with Salem the cat and he handled the car like a pro. It seems that in his past life, he wasn't allowed on furniture. He was not comfortable with comfy cushions and made a hasty retreat. Benny is a intelligent guy. He's a quick learner. He quickly learned to respond to ' Benny .' Benny is not an overly affectionate dog, he has his own agenda. He likes to be petted, but I think he'd rather be exploring. Benny also has a habit of 'smiling.' There's no aggression associated with his smile. He doesn't snarl, growl or snap. When I petted him, he 'smiled.' Non aggressive aggression? I like this quirky guy. How I act when I first meet new people: Benny is cautious of new people and places. House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. My age: est 7/20/2016 Please note - we do not ship dogs. He does get along well with 95% of the dogs that he meets, however he is mostly people oriented. He prefers not to share a lap or his bowl of food with anyone but his owners! He does not like cats. Mack does well with children, men and women. He is a love bug who is just happy to be alive! His little tail wags when you talk to him. Mack is calm and can be a bit of a lazy guy. He goes for walks and once he tires out he is ready for a nap. Mack has had a dental, with a few extractions (still has all of his major teeth). He has been neutered, and had both sets of dew claws removed. Mack is up to date on vaccines and is heartworm negative. His vision is impaired, likely due to cataracts but he has not yet been assessed by our ophthalmologist. His vision does not in any way slow him down. He may bump into things on occasion but always knows where you are and how to get to you. He can easily go up and down steps (does this every single day) gets around really well! How I act when I first meet new people: Barks at first and then friendly! House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. Yes, Ana is timid in some ways and badly undersocialized. A fence is a must to give her a safe place to run and play with her human friend. What kind of home would be best for me? Ana needs a home that is laid back and quiet, and that has a good deal of understanding of canine ... (Read More)personality and how to shape behaviors in an older dog. Ana was badly under socialized all her life and so does not trust easily. What is my personality like? Ana came from a quiet and reserved home where it was just her and her owner. She is very timid and shy, she is not one to run up to you and tackle you with hugs but will most likely stay in a corner. Ana needs confidence and patience. Ana does not like walking on a leash but only out of fear of going somewhere she is not familiar with. She has the potential to be a very sweet girl given the opportunity. Rescue Me ID: 16-09-07-00243Jasper (male)

Poodle    Age: Adult

Date into Rescue: 04/09/2016 Reason for being in rescue: found as a stray Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? early age cataracts that don't currently affect his vision Weight: 25 lbs Height: about 13 inches at the shoulder Adoption Fee: $169 Fence needed? no What kind of home would be best for me? Jasper is looking for a happy home, and one where he can be a big part of your life. He loves people. What is my personality like? When Jasper first came to us at the farm, he was timid around people and other dogs. He would cower at loud noises and fast movements. He was just a little unsure of himself. ... (Read More)With each day that passes, Jasper continues to blossom into a more confident and assured dog. He has made some furry friends here, and gets along nicely with other dogs. Jasper likes to go out on leash walks to explore and we are currently working on his leash training. Update: Jasper was evaluated 7/26/2016 by a veterinary ophthalmologist. He has early age related cataracts in both eyees but neither diminish his vision much at this point. The ophthamologist says recheck in 4 to 5 years. At the vet visit, our doctor did determine is a bit older than we were led to believe. Jasper is not defined by his age one bit. He is full of energy and goofy! He loves to walk outside but still needs some leash work. He is perfectly fine with most dogs but I would suggest a meeting of dogs if Jasper is a considered candidate for your home. He loves attention and will thank you with kisses. Jasper is a absolute fool for treats, use it to your advantage on winning him over! He can be bashful with new people, but with a handful of treats he will begin to come around. He now knows how to sit and will be easily trainable for basic commands. Jasper has improved so much since he first got here.. He is no longer the scared little poodle in the corner, he is the confident one wagging his tail to everyone he comes in contact with at the farm! How I act when I first meet new people: Jasper can be bashful, but he is friendly to new people. He absolutely loves riding in the car. House trained? A dog house trained in my home may not be in yours. We will help you teach your new dog this necessary skill and based on your schedule. Rescue Me ID: 16-08-01-00372Whitley (female)

Poodle    Age: Adult

All about me! Name: Whitley Breed: standard poodle Age: 8 years; birthdate 07/25/08 Height: est 22 inches Weight: about 54lbs Good with dogs? yes Good with men? loves 'em Good with women? loves 'em House trained? yes Crate trained? yes Leash trained? yes Must have fenced in yard? yes Foster home is: Dreamweaver Farms Pacolet SC Adoption fee: $200.00 Why am I with a rescue group? Whitley's family recently adopted a handsome little guy with special needs, and simply didn't feel like they could give Whitley the time and attention she deserved. It was a difficult decision and not made lightly, and this is one terrific dog as a result. Whitley ... (Read More)is gorgeous in color, orange/gold to me but technically 'red' in the world of poodles. A face with white markings she reminds me of a creamcicle pop! A gorgeous tail, not full, but slightly longer than the average poodle. This dog has had time spent training her as she knows sit, down, roll-over, shake, and stay. And probably much more, that was simply all I tried on our first 'date' (assessment). She pulled on the leash and might benefit more from a harness, but again, this was only our first time out and it might be all the smells and bells were too much for her to remember all her best behaviors. Update as of February 2016: Whitley was adopted from CPR years ago and unfortunately has now returned due to some behavioral issues. Her family has reported that Whitley has shown aggression when being asked to do something she didn't want to do and aggression over food. Since she has been with us here she has shown aggression toward both the mop and the broom, and she does resource guard her food. Due to her resource guarding issues we feel she would fit best in a home without children. Whitley needs a home with a dog savvy person, someone confident in their dog handling skills, because Ms. Whitley is going to push the envelope and see what she can and cannot get away with. Once she is made aware that that behavior is unacceptable and wasn't going to be tolerated, she behaves like the good dog we know she can be. Please note - we do not ship dogs. If you are interested in adopting, please take a look at the distance between the foster home location and your location and make sure you are willing to make that trip. (Less)

Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Date into Rescue: 08/01/2015 Reason for being in rescue: owner turn into shelter Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? Yes - Diabetes Insipidus Weight: 13 lbs Height: est 13' Adoption Fee: I'm special Fence needed? Yes - Buckles is very active and loves to run. What does Diabetes Insipidus mean? Buckles drinks water - all day - and urinates frequently as a result. This is a rare form of diabetes that is caused by a deficiency of the pituitary hormone (vasopressin) which regulates kidney function. This disorder is very uncommon and is not curable. Buckles is currently on a hormone-replacement medication (given ... (Read More)through eye drops). It is helping a little but we do not know that this is going to be her permanent cure. We are working with her to find out what works best. What is my personality like? Buckles is spunky, friendly and loving. She is energetic and must have a fenced in yard to run in. She gets along with other dogs and cats - and would be a great playmate to another dog her size or larger. Buckles is eager to please and bonds quickly. Buckles does have a 'house training' issue only because of her condition. For someone who is retired and is home all the time, her house training isn't much of a problem. She must be taken outside every two hours, and her house training is basically controlled. Buckles cannot be deprived of water as it can be fatal to her. How I act when I first meet new people: House trained? Dogs can be house trained if they are in the right environment and are allowed to follow a schedule as long as a physical reason doesn't keep them from being trained. Rescue Me ID: 14-10-18-00454Sherlock (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

Meet Sherlock! Breed: Shep a doodle - old english sheepdog and standard poodle mix Gender: male Date into Rescue: 7/31/14 Reason for being in rescue: Owner release, can't handle Foster location: Dreamweaver Farms, Pacolet SC Special Needs? YES -Behavior Weight: Est 50 lbs Height: Est 25 ' Adoption fee: $329 Age: birthdater 10/6/2009 (Please understand that these are rescued dogs, and sometimes their ages are only a guess. We go with what we are told) What is my personality like? Sherlock's sad past history of shock-collar training (since he was a year old until he came to us, Sherlock wore an electric shock training collar at ... (Read More)all times) makes me cry every time I think of it. This is abuse plain and simple - to be continually shocked for the slightest transgression would drive me crazy too. Sherlock developed some bad, and quite frankly, sad, habits. After being assessed by a trainer, we believe it will take a very long time - possibly years to undo the damage that has been done to this guy. He is very strong on a leash but will walk alongside you, especially when he is wearing a harness. Sherlock is a bright dog with many skills. Cues he knows include : sit, wait (stay), up (stand up from laying down), down (to lay down), leave-it (walk away from whatever it is he's smelling, eating, doing etc.), kennel (go to his kennel), heel, here (his recall/come). There are a few other commands that he knew like 'place' and 'look sharp' but the previous owner did not reinforce these commands. Sherlock does have some resource guarding tendencies, especially inside of his crate over his food bowl. This is most evident when other dogs approach him. Our caregiver can now put his bowl in and take it out of the crate with no issues. This is a huge improvement from when he first came here. Also, according to what his previous owner witnessed with him, he does not like to be approached while he is lying down. He will growl, show teeth and or bite. We have not seen this at the farm, however farm-life and home-life are two different things, and he may resort to this behavior again once he is back in a home. Also according to his behavior with his previous owner, he could not be bathed or groomed without a muzzle. At first, we were able to do both without a muzzle here, but again he is out of his comfort zone, and sometimes dog's do not show their 'true nature' until they are comfortable. A few months into his stay with CPR, he did get wild during grooming and we chose to get him shaved down under sedation but we're going to try again. We have had two bite incidents at the farm with Sherlock. In both cases, Sherlock warned the caregiver repeatedly and the warning one time was ignored and the second time, Sherlock had a rag wrapped around his foot and it was cutting off circulation. Our caregiver was a new one and did not know he had time to call for help so he tried to remove the rag himself. It was painful and Sherlock snapped at him In both cases, the bite broke skin but did not require stitches or a doctor's visit. On a positive note, Sherlock is a happy, affectionate dog. There is much more to him than some bad habits, he loves attention and he loves to be petted. Sherlock is house and crate trained, and is VERY well mannered indoors. He really is a sweet dog who could make someone a wonderful companion, if you are are strong dog leader who understands this dog must always be closely monitored and whose energy must be drawn to positive activities. He loves to run and would make a great jogging or hiking companion. Who I am seeking: Because of his behavior, we understand Sherlock may be with for the rest of his life so he is available for virtual adoption and is seeking sponsors to help us afford to care for him. If you hate shocking dogs as much as I do, then consider Sherlock as your virtually adoptable favorite guy. Thinking you can handle him - we have requirements for Sherlock. He must be adopted by someone who is a very experienced dog-owner. Preferably someone who has experience with the breed and with the behaviors that we are describing. He must be an only dog - other animals overwhelm him and spark some of these bad habits of his. We urge all of our potential adopters not to fall in love with a picture, and not to discriminate against older dogs. You never know which dog will steal your heart when you meet them! Please note - we do not ship dogs.
