Allie & Bella's owner has lost her home and is living somewhere that cannot accommodate pets. She does not want her babies to be separated if at all possible because they are extremely bonded. Other pics are available! Allie is the poodle mix with the adorable underbite! She is 2 yrs. old, spayed and vaccinated. She is very cuddly and passive and loves other dogs and people but may be shy with kids at first because she has lived around adults all of her life. Bella is the 7 yr. old Shih-tzu mix that is the spunky one! She also loves other dogs and people once she gets to know them and she will bark at strangers and chase cats. She does not hurt cats...she just wants to give them a chase around the house to play! Both dogs are excellent travelers and both of them live for daily walks!! They both love lots of attention and have always been spoiled little house dogs... (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-12-16-00314Baby (female)
Baby is a very sweet girl. She love to play, cuddle and be loved. I found her in my neighborhood. She is housebroken. Her toys are her favorite. I thought I had found her a home and it did not work out. Really need to find her loving home. I have other dogs and between my health and work I cannot give her everything she needs. She needs a yard to run and play in good on leash. I do not want to have to take her to the pound.

Rescue Me ID: 14-12-07-00567Kirby (male)
Kirby is a very sweet Poodle mix pup who is estimated to be about 1 year old and weighs approximately 12 pounds. When he was rescued he had 1 eye out of its socket! Poor pup, but it was successfully operated on and put back in place. He will quite likely remain with little or no vision and little function in that eye. That does not stop him one bit though, as he can see quite well out of the other eye. He is still a little timid around larger dogs, but is improving in that as well, and does seem interested in playing with them. He is a fairly energetic dog who loves to play whether by himself, with another dog or with you. He will chase and fetch, but will also calmly lie next to you if the opportunity presents itself. He loves to go on fairly long walks and loves to explore. Kirby is housetrained and crate trained. We believe he will do best with another small playful pup in the house. If you are interested in adding this pup to your family, please fill out our Pre-Adoption Application. The link to this form can be found on the home page of our website, http://dfwpuppatrol.com. It can be submitted via email to firstname.lastname@example.org or faxed to 972-767-4849. |Rescue Me ID: 14-11-21-00384Leon (male)|
Little Leon is a professional- professional cutie that is! So sometimes life starts out rough. For Leon, it was being hit by a car- that can put a damper on any day! Luckily he survived, although he did end up with a broken hip and a knee that was a little out of place. Not too shabby for a guy who's only 7.5 lbs! Now he's on the mend and ready to move on with his life, with a new family! Leon may be small, but we all know size doesn't matter! He's got more than enough sweet personality for a small package. He's never met someone he didn't like and even while he's in his cast, he's still happy as a clam. He does fine with other dogs although he can be a little nervous about really active big dogs (gotta be careful not to get stepped on!). Leon doesn't mind cats, as long as they don't mind him. He's house broken and does fine in the crate, but even better on the couch next to you! If you're looking for a small sweetie who can share your space, fill out an application for Leon today! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-13-00713Princess (female)
The perfect pocket Princess! Princess and her brother Champ were found as pups, living under a neighbors house. They were rescued and have been growing up healthy and strong, but it's time for them to find a new home with a great new family who will love them forever! Could that be your home? A little more reserved than her brother, Princess is named Princess for a reason. She doesn't want to bother with trivial things like scrounging for treats or behaving like a fool. She'd much rather be in your arms above all that nonsense. This little lady loves affection and will stick right by your side as long as you'll let her. She can be a little bit snippy when it comes to other dogs approaching her, especially if they come at her quickly, but it's simply because she's shy and would rather make introductions at her own pace. Princess is house broken and does very well in the home. If you're looking for your Princess, take a peek at this one and fill out your application today! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-11-05-00006Champ (male)
This little guy is definitely a winner! Champ and his sister Princess were found as pups, living under a neighbors house. They were rescued and have been growing up healthy and strong, but it's time for them to find a new home with a great new family who will love them forever! Could that be your home? Champ is a silly guy who is curious and loves to check out everywhere he goes. Rarely shy, he'll move from room to room, sticking his nose in every nook and cranny, looking for a treat or something interesting. He loves playing around with his sister, and any other pups who might be hanging around. He does great with everyone, even when there are rawhides and toys around. Champ loves to go for walks and does great on the leash, although when he sees something exciting he might need a little reminder. This cute guy is house broken, scruffy, and ready to come home with you! If you'd like a Champ on your side, fill out your application today! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-10-17-00208Flo (female)
The way genetics work is funny sometimes. Take Flo, here. She came to us at about a week old, with 8 other puppies split between two moms. We know at least one of the pups got mixed up before they came to us, so we can't say for certain if Flo's mom was Frenchie, a Miniature Poodle, who nursed her, or Roxie, a Glen of Imaal Terrier/Spitz/Poodle mix who nursed the other set of puppies. DNA testing of one of the other pups suggests daddy was a Boxer mix. Unfortunately for Flo, she did NOT inherit the non-shedding gene. Even though Flo does shed, she has a lot of other things going for her!! She still has that puppy innocence and curiosity, and she loves easily. Flo has the temperament to be a great family dog for just about anyone who isn't allergic. She plays well with other dogs, and we think she would play well with cats, too. Flo is 7 months old, and just under 17 lbs. She'd love to go home with you and help you unwrap your Christmas presents this year! (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-09-18-00366Teddy (male)
Teddy is a happy boy, that LOVES to run and play with his foster siblings. As a matter of fact, Teddy hasn't yet met a dog he doesn't like! He is very well crate trained and does well on his housebreaking. He is about 2 years old and out of the chewing stage. Teddy was found by a good samaritain running, lost, in the streets in Arlington. He was shy when he went to his foster home, but has definitely come out of his shell. However, his new family will need to be patient with him as he adjusts to a new home. The perfect home for this sweet boy is one where there is another dog to play with and a loving family to make him feel safe. If you would like more information about Teddy, please contact his foster mom, Kimberly, at 817/233-9109. His adoption includes all vaccinations, worming, rabies vaccination, heartworm neg, neuter, microchip including registration. Skipper is a 5 year old male Schnauzer/Poodle Blend that weighs 20 pounds. He is a very lovable dog and would love to be in your lap all the time. He is very active dog, but will follow basic commands. He will walk on a leash, but sometimes likes to walk you. As soon as you stand up, he is at the door, waiting to go for a walk. He loves playing with toys and will occasionally try to get another dog to play with him. Cats are unknown. He is very housebroken and will go outside any time you ask. He is a very loyal dog, staying by your side where ever you go. He really likes the security of the crate and will often be found sleeping in one of the open ones and loves sleeping in one at night. Older children would be ok, but he may overpower younger children. Skipper is up to date with vaccinations, neutered, microchipped, heartworm neg, and stared on flea and tick prevention. If you would like to give Skipper a home, please submit an application from this website. For more information, please email email@example.com. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-08-19-00737Biscuit (female)
Poor Biscuit was found as a stray so full of stickers and mats she couldn't stand on her paws or lay down in any position. No collar, no tag and no chip...we couldn't find her owner. With a good doggy day spa she was so happy and full of love. She is now completely vetted, is house trained and with good food and lots of love has turned out to be a wonderful love bug. She is about 14 lbs, does well with other dogs but is still somewhat nervous if strangers or children get too close so we are suggesting no children under 8. Her adoption fee is $250 All Schnauzers Etc. rescue dogs are spayed/neutered, up to date on rabies, annual shot, bordatella, microchipped, and any other known medical issue has been corrected. They come with collar, leash, harness, several toys, several days of dog food, their blanket, all their vet paperwork, their remaining year's worth of heartworm pills, and educational material on how to be a good pet parent. |Animal ID: KM-JoJoJojo (female)|
Jojo is a sweet as can be! Unfortunately whoever dumped her at the river did not take good care of little Jojo. When we rescued her, she was matted completely to her skin. About 2 inches thick of hair was tightly matted on her back almost like a turtle shell, which made it very painful for her to move around. Now that she has been groomed, she is looking & feeling great! The only thing missing is her forever home where she can relax by your side. Jojo is working on potty training, but we believe once she settles into her new home and has a routine she should be just fine. She is about 2 years old and weighs approximately 15-20 pounds. We believe she is a poodle/bichon mix. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-05-27-00755Andrew Jackson (Andy) (male)
I'm Andrew Jackson...Andy for short, and April 14th was my lucky day. That is the day my owner took me to the local animal shelter to surrender me. So how could that be my lucky day? It just so happened they were holding a shot clinic that day and a volunteer of A.R.N.T. was there to have one of their rescues micro chipped. She felt so bad for me cuz it was cold that day and she thought I looked sad and a little scared. She didn't want me to have to stay in a shelter until someone decided they wanted me so she offered to take me into the rescue group. My owner was so grateful that she cried and hugged her. She had rescued me a couple of years earlier and gave me to her grown daughter who got very sick afterwards and passed away. She took me back home with her but her dog did not like sharing with me so she thought it would be best for me to see if the shelter could find me a good home. At first I was a little scared at a new place where there were several other dogs but my foster mom made me feel safe and kept me by her side a lot until I got to know all the other pooches and saw they wanted to be my friend. It took me a while to get up the courage to play with any of them but recently a little extra playful puppy came home with her and she is the type that makes you play with her. At first I didn't want any part of it but I have kinda warmed up to her and began playing with her and even another of the small dogs here. My owner thought I might be a Maltese-Poodle mix but the rescue thinks I am more likely a Shih Tzu-Poodle or Pekinese-Poodle mix because of my eyes and muzzle. I am around 5 years old, vaccinated, heart worm free, micro chipped and neutered. I have come out of my shell quite a bit but my foster mom wants me to go to a home where someone is home part of the day to give me lots of attention so I feel safe in my new home. I have been to a couple of adoption events and I get a little scared when my foster leaves my sight. She thinks I would do good with children who like to love on dogs and know how to interact with small ones. She will want do check out the fence around my new home to make sure it is in good shape so I don't get out and get lost so I can only be adopted to someone who lives in the DFW area. My adoption fee is $200. If you feel you have the kind of love to give that I need, please email ARNT for a pre adoption questionnaire. (Less)

Poodle Dogs can make good pets in Texas if they match your IifestyIe. Poodles come in several different varieties which are classified based on size. Generally, smaller Poodle varieties tend to be more hyperactive while larger Poodles are more mellow. Poodles love people and are good with children and other dogs. Poodles are easy to train. This breed can live in an apartment with enough daily exercise.
