Hello, My mother is looking to find a home for her two active Yorkie poodles. They are fixed, boy and a girl. Very adorable siblings. They are sweet but my mother is not as active or able as they need and my home cannot accept them due to our toddler daughter that makes them nervous (they have never been around a child under 10) .     This is sweet little Paris who is blind. Paris is about 8 years old. She wandered away from her home and was returned to her owners very dirty and matted. Her owners decided that they didn't want to deal with her any longer. So they surrendered her to a high-kill shelter. Luckily, we were able to rescue her before she was put to sleep. Paris is a real sweetheart who loves to be with people. Her ideal home would be with someone who is home a lot and is patient with her disability. Rescue Me ID: 15-05-25-00101Laney (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current, Abused/Neglected

Breed: Poodle/Schnauzer/Corgi Age: Approx. 4 yrs. Sex: Female (Spayed) Weight: 18 lbs Vaccinations: Current Microchip: Yes Laney was pulled from a high-kill shelter because she and her 2 sons were going to be euthanized. They were seized from a family who were arrested for drugs. Laney and her sons were in a situation similar to puppy mill conditions. All 3 were kept in the same crate and left isolated. Consequently, they are terrified of people. Laney has been in foster care and was making progress until she got away from her previous adopter. She was missing for 3 weeks with no sightings. Finally Rainbow received a call from a very kind ... (Read More)teenager who sighted her. It took 3 of us to finally capture her. She was terribly thin and matted. She is slowly coming out of her shell. She gets along with other dogs and probably cats and other animals. Her issue is trusting people. We are looking for a very special person or couple who will understand her fear and allow her to trust at her own pace. She is a sweet, adorable little girl who deserves a calm, loving home with people who will love her for who she is forever. She is attending Shy Dog classes at a local facility and will continue. If you are patient, loving, and understanding and want to make this little girl's life the one she deserves, please contact Esther or Dallas at 757-583-8777 or e-mail (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 14-04-24-00590Coco A'Zachary (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs, Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Coco A'Zachary is about 5 years old and weighs 19 lbs. He has had a confusing life. When his first person became very ill, he was surrendered to a local shelter. It was noisy and scary there, so Coco became fearful of strangers and new situations. He was adopted and everyone thought he had truly found his forever home. Unfortunately, his happily ever after only lasted a few months. When his person moved to a new home, he was not part of her plans. Instead, Coco was sent to a rescue. The little fellow was extremely scared again and now did not trust people. He is absolutely adorable, spunky, and very sweet. Luckily, he has been placed in ... (Read More)a wonderful foster home where they understand his fear of abandonment and are very patient with him. It has taken time, but Coco is learning to trust people again. His favorite things are his walks, sleeping with his foster mom, and getting treats. He is trusting enough that he will even give his people kisses now. Coco likes adults and teenagers. He cannot be placed in a home with young children. His ideal person will be very patient with him and aware of his special needs. While he gets along with small submissive dogs, Coco would probably do best as an only pet. This little fellow knows his basic commands and is housetrained. Since he is not destructive, Coco has never needed to be crated. His adoption fee includes neuter. He is looking for a new lap to sit on and someone to give him belly rubs. Can you provide this cute fellow a home where he is loved and understood? He will be your most loyal best friend ever and love you with his whole heart. If you are interested in adopting Coco, please go to Complete the dog adoption questionnaire, and email it to (Less)

lnteresting Poodle Trivia Low-Cost Virginia Spay & Neuter Clinics
Poodles appear in art from ancient Rome. Poodles do not shed and are popular for breeding with other dogs to produce a relatively non-allergenic hybrid. Poodles are widely considered to be French, but there is debate over whether they may have originated in Germany or Denmark.
