Rescue Me ID: 15-06-27-00479Shaggy (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Needs to be Spayed, Vaccinations Current

This is Shaggy, a Goldendoodle I rescued from a family because who didn't know how to control her jumping and happy go lucky attitude. I am a professional dog trainer and I trained Shaggy how to be herself, but more importantly, how to behave and get things she wants like petting and treats. She is trained on recall, eye contact, sit, down, leave it, back up, and a few other things like not going through the door before me. She is great with all dogs, all people (and kids!), and lives with a cat. She is confident and jumps in the car with excitement, and is kennel trained. I wanted to keep her but due to my living situation, I can not. My ... (Read More)adoption fee is $750 and she needs to be spayed. I have paperwork on the kennel/breeder she came from. I will send more pictures if you are interested. (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-06-24-00033CJ (male)

Poodle    Age: Senior

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Low Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Fearful/Anxious

Hi! My name is CJ and I am looking for a home of my own. I had a home and person of my own for almost my whole life. My former owner, a single senior woman, passed away and I am pretty broken hearted about the whole ordeal. I am currently safe in the rescue, but it is a little loud, and a little too much action for me to be comfortable. I would love a quiet, calm home of my own. I am a pretty mellow dog and would love to find a couch to lay around and relax on. I would do best with a quiet person or family without kids and without a lot of action. I am working on getting comfortable with other people, but will probably need some time to ... (Read More)adjust to a new family. I am house trained, crate trained, neutered, micro-chipped and up to date on all my vaccinations. If you think you might have the right home for me, please visit the Valhalla Canine Rescue website at http://www.valhallarescue.org/adopt/ and fill out an adoption application. My adoption fee is $250. My adoption fee allows Valhalla Rescue to continue to provide care and medical treatment (including spay/neuter services) for dogs like me while we look for our forever homes. This fee also helps cover the ongoing costs of caring for less adoptable dogs that require longer stays in the shelter, or more advanced medical treatment before finding their forever homes. THANK YOU FOR SAVING THE LIFE OF A RESCUE DOG!!! (Less)

Animal ID: 27724730Snyder (male)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Most Dogs
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Needs to be Neutered

Snyder is such a cute little man of a dog. When he first came in he was pretty shaggy, but he cleaned up well, wouldn't you say? He can have a bit of a quirky personality. Every once in awhile he decides he doesn't like someone at first glance, but with patience he can be won over. Being in the shelter is no picnic for any dog, but it's harder for some than others -- and I think Snyder is one of those. He is very stressed to be behind bars and it sometimes comes out in a growl or two, but I think he would be very affectionate once he could relax. He shows signs of being very potty trained. He is usually good on a leash, but sometimes ... (Read More)a little wild when the stress gets to him. He walks well with other little dogs, and doesn't seem to notice or care much about the big boys. I haven't seen him around children, but would imagine he would do much better in an all adult home. Snyder definitely needs some TLC in a forever home to settle down and blossom. Might you be the one he's been waiting for? (Less)

Rescue Me ID: 15-05-25-00235Hailey (female)

Poodle Mix    Age: Puppy

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Vaccinations Current

Hailey is a 2 yr old 11 pound Miniature Poodle. Hailey is micro-chipped, spayed and current with all vaccines. She is current health certificate & is heart-worm tested negative. She would be best in a family that is active and routine. Hailey was saved from a high kill shelter in CA she was found with bite ... (Read More)wounds apparently attacked by another dog. She took a few months to heal, surprisingly she is not jaded or fearful from whatever happened to her. She is healthy, beautiful and very sweet. Hailey likes other dogs and cats. She is seeking a home that is semi-active, routine, calm non hectic and willing to be patience and show her life is good! She is very smart and a fast learner a fenced yard is required or Condo type dweller, or someone who works from home. She is crate trained but prefers to sleep with her people. She currently sleeps with her foster. She is learning commands & walks ok on a leash. The ideal family would be devoted to taking a basic obedience class to master recall. She will bond fast with her person. This little girl is ready for her forever trusting family to show her love and fun. She can be a little timid when first meeting her but warms up quickly. She has allot of potential to be great forever friend. She likes other dogs but is not much of a player. She would rather be with her people. Prefer a childless home or dog savvy kids over age 15. Hailey is a going to make a great addition to the right family. Before applying please do the research on how to prepare for a dog. Home check and references required. Adoption fee: 595.00 Includes spay, health certificate, grooming, flea treatment, vaccines, rabies, microchip and 30 day Pet insurance.
