Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Not Good w/ Other Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Very Low Energy, Average Temperament
Health: Spayed, Needs Vaccinations

Bella is a really sweet 9 year old Bichon/Poodle mix. She weighs approximately 15lbs and is the ultimate lap dog. We took get in for a friend as she was her mother's dog, but her mother passed away unfortunately and her daughter has dog aggressive dogs. We have given her a 10-way vaccination but she is likely due for her rabies. We have groomed her as well. She is very reliably house trained, and is good with cats. She is very dominant with other dogs and does not like them in her space. She's great with people and loves to cuddle, but she is a bit nervous and needs someone who is gentle and patient as her world has turned upside down. She ... (Read More)doesn't bark excessively, and she loves to take baths and go for rides in the car. At some point she will likely need some dental work as she id's missing some teeth, but as of now she eats dry food and chews on bones just fine. We aren't asking a rehoming fee, just that you'll get her rabies and teeth cleaned sometime soon. No calls please as I don't get good service at my home, but texts or emails are fine. (Less)

Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good with Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current, Blind

PLEASE DO NOT EMAIL US WITHOUT FILLING OUT AN APPLICATION. ***Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com*** IF WE DO NOT RECEIVE AN APPLICATION, WE WILL NOT RESPOND TO YOUR EMAIL. Michael Scott 8 years old, 15 lbs, Bichon/poodle mix. Poor Michael Scott was in a kill shelter in CA and had fallen between the cracks. No one was coming for him, why, we will never know. It could have been that he is completely blind, that he needed a major dental, or that he was a filthy matted mess. Regardless, we were not leaving this sweet little man there. We got Michael Scott to our vets where it was discovered he is completely blind, needed a major ... (Read More)dental, needed to be neutered, and needed to be shaved all the way down due to being so matted to the skin. Of course needed a good wash in the tub. Michael Scott is currently in a loving foster home with another little dog. His foster mum said he is so extremely easy, and so very, very sweet & calm. He should be loved and cherished. He is such an easy guy, doesn't mind being picked up, given love to, really he does just want to be loved. We do not know how he is around cats nor children but believe he would do well with both. He will be neutered, up to date on his shots, is heart worm negative, and will have his major dental complete. He will be ready for his new loving forever home on 4/21/18. It's time for Michael Scott to find his new forever home. He can only go to a home with someone present in the home or another dog for companionship, and someone who will work with him on potty training, and will love and cherish him. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Michael Scott, have read his listing fully to the end, and are willing to go through our process of your references being checked, a phone interview, a home visit, followed with a meet & greet if it's a good fit with our discretion. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Michael Scott has an adoption fee of $650. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Please do not apply for a dog until you are ready to commit a lifetime to him/her. We are an all-volunteer 501c3 non-profit group of animal lovers. Our adoption fee is non-negotiable as we need these funds to pay our current medical bills for our dogs as well as any future dogs we rescue as well. As an adopter, you must be prepared to accept the fact that these dogs are rescues and, just like you and I, they all have their own individual personalities. In most cases, these little ones have been through a difficult journey that started when their family gave them up or they became lost. They may have been under stress, neglected or even abused in their past life or frightened by being left alone on the streets to fend for themselves. Our number one focus is finding these little loves a wonderful forever home with a family who is going to care for them and show them what it is like to be loved, a safe environment, a full belly and a warm bed. These sweet babies do not ask for much from you but they may require a little patience and understanding. WE ARE NOT A SHELTER, WE ARE AN ALL VOLUNTEER RESCUE WITH FULL-TIME JOBS. Poodle Mix    Age: Adult

Compatibility: Good w/ Most Dogs, Good w/ Most Cats, Good w/ Kids and Adults
Personality: Average Energy
Health: Neutered, Vaccinations Current

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** Lohdi is a sweet fellow looking for a forever home. Lohdi is a 9 year old boy who weighs 29 pounds. If we had to guess, we'd say he is a Cocker spaniel, poodle mix. Lohdi is a confident friendly guy who gets along great with other dogs. He does fine with easygoing cats once he is reminded to give them space. We haven't had Lohdi around children, but we suspect he would do great with them because of his gentle nature. We found a listing for two sweet pups and reached out to ... (Read More)the owners. Unfortunately the husband had passed away and their owner could no longer care for Lohdi his friend. We agreed take them into our rescue and find them loving homes. We had these two lovebugs picked up and brought to our vets. We soon discovered that both dogs needed medical attention and they desperately needed to be groomed. Lohdi had to have a mass removed. It was biopsied and the results came back benign. Lohdi is very happy-go-lucky and has a heart of gold. He loves to snuggle and really wants to please his humans. He's very content napping on the couch with his humans or finding a warm sunny spot to lay in. Lohdi is most interested in being near his person and is a wonderful loving companion. Lohdi must go to a home with another dog present. He needs to be let outside every 3-4 hours to do his business. He will need house training and obedience training in a new environment like most rescue dogs. This affectionate boy is ready for his happily ever after. Lohdi has an adoption fee of $500. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. Thanks for your cooperation!****** The very sad tail of Honeybee who at the age of 12 years old was dropped off at a extremely high kill shelter in such very poor shape by her owner. We seen how bad a shape she was in & her time had run out. We got her out & medically she needed the works. Her fur was barely there, her skin was an absolute mess from neglect, poor nutrition & possible flea infestation. We had to get Honeybee healthy before she could be put under anesthesia. Her skin had a skin scraping done, ... (Read More)she still gets medicated baths, she got meds & a good healthy diet then she was well enough to go under to get her dental. Her teeth were so very bad, she had extractions & major extractions. While under it was discovered that her ears were a mess so she also had to have her ears flushed. Honeybee's foster mum has discovered that this sweet lady is deaf & sometimes off in her own world. She is also spayed, weighs 13.2 lbs, a poodle terrier mix, chipped up to date on her shots & loves to eat. She is currently being fostered with other dogs, she should not go to a home with children because of being deaf & needs to go to a home where other dogs are present & someone is always present in the home. All of our sweet souls are rescues so they need a home where the people understand these little lives were thrown away & deserve to be cherished. Honeybee has an adoption fee of $450. Thanks for your cooperation! ***** Lizzie is a sweet poodle/terrier mix with so much love to give! She is 5 years old and was in a high kill shelter where she had run out of time and needed to be saved. It was clear that Lizzie just had puppies recently, where her puppies were we did not know, but we did know she had been in the shelter for a very long time. We got her out of the shelter and little Lizzie was so very sick with pneumonia. She spent 11-14 days in the hospital, she was treated with multiple ... (Read More)antibiotics, daily breathing treatments, and x-ray's to constantly check on her health. It was then discovered that she has a grade 3 out of 6 heart murmur. She was treated for skin allergies and has also had her dental. Lizzie is so loving and playful, loves playing with other dogs, and she is a super high jumper. She will need a home that will be willing to make sure she gets exercise each day. She loves walks and does well on a leash. Lizzie is super affectionate. She gives kisses and loves to cuddle. Shec always wants to be with her people. Lizzie would do best in a home with other dogs present and where people are home during the day. She gets along best with submissive male dogs. Poodle Mix    Age: Young Adult

Compatibility: Good with Adults (Not Kids)
Personality: Average Energy, Average Temperament

YES, I'M AVAILABLE! Adoption application at www.aberdeenstr.com ***MUST SUBMIT APP before we will respond to email or phone inquiries. Thanks for your cooperation!*** Snow Bichion mix 13 lbs he will be 7 this year. Snow was from a kill shelter in CA. How this poor sweet soul ended up there we will never know, but it was a possibility that he was dumped by his owner. What we do know is that he needed to be rescued so we did just that. He was a neglected mess from his shelter listing, and when we got him to our vets he only weighed roughly 8 lbs. Now Snow weighs a healthy 13 lbs. We got Snow to our vets and got him neutered, chipped, and ... (Read More)he had a dental where he had several teeth removed. He is currently up to date on his shots and he is heart worm negative. It was discovered that Snow was hard of hearing, and he had some issues with trust. He wanted things his own way in his foster home. He had to learn his doggy manners, so off he went to our wonderful trainer for several months to help Snow with his doggy manners. Snow is back in his foster home now and is doing wonderfully! He lives with his foster sister, and he still does try to steal her food, but when corrected he is respectful. He enjoys sunning himself on lovely days, is food motivated, is very sweet, & enjoys affection. He, is such a lovely little fellow, walks great on a leash, enjoys the company of other dogs, does well around cats, and would do best in a home with no children because of his hearing loss. He needs to go to a home with rescue experience only. Snow does need you to let him know when you are going to pick him up, or when putting on his leash, etc by smelling your hand because of his hearing loss. He still does have partial hearing, but his adopters will need to be respectful of it. As with all of our rescues Snow will need work on potty training as do all of the dogs in our rescue. Please only submit an application if you are truly interested in adopting Snow and have read his listing fully to the end. You must be willing to go through our screening process which includes your references being checked, a phone interview, and a home visit followed by a meet and greet - if it's a good fit, up to our discretion. We will only be accepting applications for Snow that meet all the requirements. Once we find the right home for each little soul we work fast so the dogs can go to their forever homes in quite a timely manner. We do not hold onto to dogs for people, as our goal is to save lives. We also cannot respond to every application unfortunately. Snow has an adoption fee of $675 & is ready for his forever family. __________________________ **IMPORTANT DETAILS - PLEASE READ** An application must be filled out before consideration for adoption. lnteresting Poodle Trivia Low-Cost Washington Spay & Neuter Clinics
Poodles appear in art from ancient Rome. Poodles do not shed and are popular for breeding with other dogs to produce a relatively non-allergenic hybrid. The name Poodle comes from a German word describing someone who likes the water. Poodles are widely considered to be French, but there is debate over whether they may have originated in Germany or Denmark.
