|Rescue Me ID: 16-05-05-00655Raymond the Miracle (male)|
Raymond was picked up by animal control in Raymond, WI on 3/1. The poor guy was a matted mess, frozen, and scared to death. His immediate medical and grooming needs were met and he settled in for a 10 day hold, but his previous owners never showed up. His complete vetting has included vaccinations, neuter, removal of a small tumor, removal of rotten teeth (all were bad and there was a severe abscess), treatment for skin infection and a UTI! Two months later, he is practically a different dog! Raymond is guessed to be about 9 yrs old. He is gentle and gets along great with other dogs and people. He doesn't play with toys, but enjoys observing others play. He walks nicely on leash and sits quietly in the car. He's not particularly cuddly and prefers his dog bed. He will join me on the couch for just a few minutes, then hops down. Without getting underfoot, he often joins me in whichever room I go to. Unfortunately, we have not been able to completely stop his leg lifting habit. He potties outside, but out of habit raises his leg occasionally, therefore, we keep him in a belly band. For his itchy skin health, he is on a grain free diet. Dry kibbles are his favorite. He rarely barks. DO NOT apply to adopt Raymond if you are looking for a very interactive dog who likes to snuggle and play. PLEASE DO apply for Raymond if you are looking for a pleasant and somewhat independent dog who deserves a secure home. Please DO consider him if you are willing to watch for minor health issues like itchy skin and you consider his belly band a minor inconvenience. His adoption fee, $250, will go toward his vetting bill. Raymond is fostering in Libertyville, IL. Please contact Sara at (847) 207-8233 or email email@example.com. (Less)
