     Rescue Me was a great tool in finding our new family member. I suffer from allergies to fur. I was able to scroll through the pages only looking at the poodles rather than the poodle mixes. As soon as I saw Toby I was smitten. We contacted H.E.L.P. arranged a meeting and a home visit. We fell more in love with our darling Toby in person. He travels well, enjoys our walks and just hanging out with us. Toby is the poster poodle for a rescue . We are a happy family.

     I would like to say thank you to Ms. Lord, who had to rehome Saffron. This sweet girl is so loving and she does not meet a stranger. Saffron loves to cuddle with me while watching TV. She is so smart and understands whatever you ask her to do; she loves to kiss, kiss. This sweetie has already made a place in my heart and she knows it. She likes to be in charge and she loves to go on walks, about four or five per day. She is really exploring her new neighborhood and she has met two furry friends and they seem to get along well.      One week after posting on your site, I began getting interested parties. Several people showed interest. Narrowed it down to four top prospects. Two saw the dogs in person. We made it point to visit the home of the interested party. We took our time as suggested by Rescue Me. The second home we visited, we took the dogs. It was an excellent fit for the Morgan and Madison. Big house, backyard, and an experience dog owner. She really wanted the dogs. Keys to success: 1) Be up front and honest about the dogs health, issues, and background. 2) Used the email process to provide as information about the dogs as possible. 3) Got the dogs in the best possible health with vet visits, shots, and medicine. 4) Before posting them, I groomed the dogs which included a bath. Then took the cutest possible picture to post. 5) I responded to emails and texts in a time fashion.

     Two pups off the EU list in Texas were brought here two weeks ago and fixed at my vet. John and his wife fell for both of them. One was ten months and the other was five months old in a very high kill shelter in Texas. It's amazing how fate worked out for these two that had become best of friends. They laid their heads on each other, played with each other, and they had become bonded. Now, both were ADOPTED together. How sweet is this? Thank you, Rescue Me, for continuing to help me save the dogs off the EU list and find perfect forever homes for the dogs in need. So happy this site is here!

     I signed up a couple of weeks ago for Rescue Me alerts. I really liked how easy it was to choose the type of dog I was looking to rescue. A couple mornings ago I saw a poodle rescue list. I clicked through the photos hoping to find a good match. As soon as I saw Joey, I knew he would be perfect! I am allergic to dogs and a Labradoodle was perfect for me. I quickly called the rescue and was able to schedule an appointment the next day to meet him. Wah-la! As soon as I met him I fell in love. He is so sweet, gentle, kind and fits perfectly into our home. The woman who had him was very helpful, kind, and gave me lots of information about him. She even checked on him the next day. We are taking it slow as he adapts to his new home. Little by little he is warming up, wagging his tail, sniffing around and being playful. Thank you Rescue Me for providing such a wonderful service for both parties.

     Jack Was adopted by a wonderful military family. Jack needed someone who was active and could give him a lot of love and attention. He got such a great family but I could tell the minute he met Lee, he'd found the perfect fit. I appreciate Jeff Gold and his wonderful staff for offering this site for those of us who rescue to get dogs to a safe, loving home. I do all I can to make sure each rescue is right for the home it goes to. Each rescue Is different, but they all deserve a great loving home with people who care and will give them the time they need to adjust to a new family. You have to make sure the family can afford to take care of the dog for the rest of it's life and you want it to stay healthy. Jack was such a skinny, shy, puppy that didn't trust anyone. He gained confidence and loved everyone. I allow the rescues to pick their families and Jack picked Lee. I think he's in his perfect home and they know when you have a dog, it is a family member forever. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     I very recently lost my toy poodle to an unfortunate accident. He was rushed to the emergency vet but they were not able to do anything for him. Needless to say, I was devastated.      I found a five year old female poodle. This poor dog was almost hit by a car when I first rescued her. She was very scared, hungry, thirsty and dirty. My first thought was to have our vet check for a microchip, perform an exam and give her vaccines. Unfortunately, the dog has no chip. I really wanted to keep her, but I have two dogs of my own. I didn't want to surrender this poor baby to the animal shelter so I searched online and found Rescue Me. I was very lucky to find a good home for this dog. These people are the perfect fit for this dog. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     My husband and I were fortunate enough to have shared our home with a beautiful toy poodle named Butterscotch for 13 years. When Butterscotch died two years ago, we knew that we would adopt another poodle, but decided to wait until we retired to bring a new dog into our home. We both retired in June and felt drawn to adopt an older dog. We were getting alerts from Rescue Me for a few months and just kept going back to Lucky! There was something about his entry that touched us and so we decided to contact his owner. After talking on the phone and learning about Lucky's background and some of his physical challenges, we decided to take a ride up to meet our little senior friend. What can I say? It was love at first sight! We took to each other right away! Despite his senior status, Lucky has a lot of energy. He loves a good walk and is very friendly. He's just a sweet, old guy who needed a home where he could get lots of time and attention. His former owner wanted to do right by Lucky and we are happy that he was comfortable in choosing us. Lucky settled in so easily to our home. He's a well mannered little cuddle-bug and we just love him. Thanks Rescue Me for the work you do! We are the 'Lucky' ones!

     I had a wonderful puppy named Bama who was almost a year old I had another puppy Shih Tzu, and she wanted to fight a lot. I was worried something might happen. I was moving to an apartment so I needed to rehome Bama. It was a very hard decision to make. A lovely couple and two dogs came to see Bama. He seemed to really like them after spending some time with them. She has been sending me pictures and keeping me informed about Bama and it makes it easier. I know he is happy with his new family and sleeps with them and really part of their family. Thank you Rescue Me for finding Bama a loving family.

     My wife and I wanted a standard rescue. We wanted one we hoped would work as a therapy dog to visit in a clinic or home setting for patients with dementia. When we saw D. B. Cooper, we fell in love with him. We contacted Rescue Me and learned this rescue was visiting nursing homes, the library, assisted living, and many other places as a therapy dog. We knew this was the right Standard for us. After talking to Ms. Wright, we learned how much time she takes with each rescue to socialize them. They are treated just like her family and she loves each dog. Ms. Wright makes sure the dogs are healthy and she lets you know what their personalities are like along with any other information she can give you about the dogs. It took a few weeks for all the references, home checks, etc. to be done. I do not think anyone gives her enough credit for the time, love, and money she spends. Standard poodles like hers should be sold for $2500 or more and that still would not recover the cost of the vet bills, grooming, training, etc. she gives. Our beautiful Cooper is wonderful. We e-mail Ms. Wright with new photos which she loves. If we need to know anything, Ms. Wright will answer. Our dog had on a beautiful new Martingale release collar which was much nicer than the one we'd bought. Cooper is still wearing it. She sends each dog home with food, treats, toys, and even a bed, all bought specially for each dog and they are high quality items. Cooper was on a grain free Holistic dog food, and a heart worm preventative. He is healthy, fun, so active, and everything we were told he would be... But so much more. Thank you so much for Rescue Me, Mr. Gold. Thank you for helping a rescuer like Ms. Wright. She has a heart of gold. She just lives on a shoe string budget so every rescue is treated like royalty. She is a very sweet lady who would do anything to help dogs and loves these poodles so much. We could not have found a more perfect standard poodle or a person who cared so much. We are so happy. We have a little boy now to love. Anyone that is able to adopt one of her rescues will be lucky. Thank you.

     Well, I have my second, a black standard male poodle. His name is Jedi. Five years ago, I lost my older standard mix. Dana had a female, she was training to be a service dog. I live in another state, and was wonderfully surprised to discover that this lady would do a home check so far from where she lived. The first one I adopted from her, was about six, a retired stud dog. She had all kinds of testing to make sure he was healthy. The before and after photos of him were mind blowing. I live on a farm and now this poor dog that has been stuck in a room in a crate has a forever home with lots of room to run. He also has an older standard to show him where he can get in trouble. If I have any questions, I can always call his rescuer, DeAnna. She is never too busy to help and is devoted to saving dogs. Thank you, Rescue Me and Jeff Gold. Thank you for giving these people who give their hearts (and their money) to saving dogs a place to post their wonderful animals. We are so happy with our rescues and can't imagine ever going to a breeder again.

     I rescued a few dogs. One was a poodle that was so wonderful! Chaos was the opposite of this dog's personality. She was sweet, kind, and laid back. A beautiful soul adopted her and is giving her the life she deserves! She got groomed professionally for the first time in her life two hours after I handed her off!      The most darling couple came out for a long, six hour drive to adopt our most precious, Frencie. He is a wonderful Poodle, Maltesetese mix. Though it was difficult to let this precious baby go, he has found an adoring couple who will continue to spoil him rotten and give him the attention he adores.      My wife and I decided to place our 14 month old female standard Poodle, Yvette, with an adopter who resides in a rural area. This individual plans to do agility training with Yvette which we know she'll excel at as she's very energetic. This individual lost her beloved standard Poodle last year to an illness and has been looking to have another Poodle to love and enjoy. This individual also has preteen grandsons who are excited to have a Poodle to play with and love as well. We feel that we've found the 'perfect' home for Yvette! Thank you, Rescue Me!

     I want to say I went into this very skeptical. I posted on this site thinking we may go weeks or months without finding a forever home for Mimi. I want to set the record straight. I posted late on Monday night and by Tuesday I had several emails inquiring, and even a local rescue offering to foster Mimi if I did not find a new parent for Mimi that we were comfortable with. We got several good, sincere inquiries, but one person had to call me late - after 10pm saying they could not sleep without talking to us about Mimi. After a few long conversations, I was convinced. We arranged a meeting and it was perfect. Mimi licked and loved on her new parent and seemed very comfortable with them. Thank you for providing a safe, reliable forum for us. I would recommend Rescue Me to anyone serious about finding a good home for their fur baby.

     Thank you so much for bringing us a new family member. Tucker was in a wonderful, caring foster home, but the family had cats, and he did not get along with their cats. Meanwhile, our family was looking for a new friend for our dog, kids, and each other, and we happened to be allergic to cats. The wonderful, kind foster parents brought Tucker to meet us a week ago, and it was love at first sight. They kindly offered to let us see if Tucker fits into our home, and he stayed with us for that evening. Over the next several days, they patiently answered our questions, and they have been available to us non-stop. We love and admire the foster family (true animal lovers who really got to know Tucker) and Tucker both. Overall, we feel that a real miracle had arrived at our doorstep. Tucker and our dog love to play. At night, Tucker sleeps by my daughter's side every day and follows her around the house. He also likes to let our four-year-old pet him. When we come home, he makes gorilla noises and greets us with real excitement. He is very funny and kind. It has been exactly one week since we have gotten Tucker, and he has filled our house with a new energy and joy. We are very grateful to Tucker's wonderful foster family; and to this wonderful organization that brought us together. Thank you for the joy you have brought our family. Thank you, Rescue Me, for bringing this amazing, funny, sweet animal into our lives and family. We will do everything we can to give him a good home.

     Thank you, Rescue Me. Snickerdoodle found a wonderful home with a couple who had another little rescue Yorkie. They were very caring and gave me full details of his new home and safe surroundings. Our fence was suitable for our deceased larger dog and Snickerdoodle, being so small., found ways to escape. We were fearful for him and his safety. The older couple was very caring with their Yorkie who we also met and all is well. We interviewed several before making this decision because Snickerdoodle is very special.

     Rescue Me is the greatest site! We had to place our standard poodle in a new home, and had the best luck with this site. We found new friends too. Our poodle was seen on the site by someone who lives only three blocks from me! They are the nicest people, knew the breed and had lost their fellow a while back. They needed to fill that void in their hearts the loss of their poodle left. Colby was a perfect match for them. And, since they live nearby, we get to see him from time to time!

     Houdini was posted for maybe a week at the most on Rescue Me. I received a few calls from people that were like 50 miles away, and I asked them to call me the following week since he was getting neutered that current week. In the mean time I got a call from a wonderful gentleman who, just by chance, lives in my neighborhood! To me that was a sign! Houdini loves Pete, his new Papa. They will be going on daily morning walks and he will be well loved. And I made some new friends too!

     I saw Dewey's posting early on a Saturday morning after several weeks of trying to find the right dog to bring home. My own sweet dog had been killed just a couple months before while in the care of his dog sitter. I had been heartbroken but knew eventually I would want to give another furry soul a good home. I had used the alert registration to make sure I got an email anytime a Wheaten or Wheaten Terrier mix was listed in my home state or the states around us. Turns out Dewey was living only 10 minutes away! He's a Wheaten Terrier/Standard Poodle mix. I got to meet him later that afternoon and his family knew fairly quickly that I was the right home for him. (They are moving out of the country and cannot take him to their new home.) It's always a hard choice to re-home a dog but I know both his former family and I are SO grateful that we could connect. The site was super helpful in getting all of us together. I am so grateful they chose me out of the dozens of emails they received. Dewey was well loved his whole life and is quickly settling into his new home and a new routine. A lot of long walks in the park near our house are helping (exercise is love!) He is an incredibly sweet, gentle, loyal dog. We took the site's advice and he brought his beds with him to help him settle. He's eating the same food and getting the same treats he is used to. Those things and a whole lot of love here are making all the difference. He is the hit of his new neighborhood and I am so happy to have a dog to love and be loved by. There is simply no point in going for a walk if you don't have a dog with you. Thank you Rescue Me for all the dogs and families you help--but especially ours.

They are wonderful little pups. I recently lost my 14 year old Maltese. I adopted in his honor and I am glad that I did. They both have a great disposition and are fast learners. I love both of my pups. They are a great addition to our family.

     I had so many people who wanted Parker. Rescue Me is a wonderful site for rescuers. I feel like every poodle or rescue that has been adopted has gone to the right home. Parker needed someone who knew standard poodles and know how smart they are. I only rescue and have never been a breeder, so saving these rescues and finding the right home is very important to me. As a rescuer, we spend so much money getting them healthy, making them safe, grooming, making sure they get the right food, training, medical help, etc. Every rescue is special. People have to fill out applications, provide references, have before and after home visits. I try to cover everything and am so happy when the dogs find the right home. I miss them so much when they leave. Parker got such a good home with someone who can give him much more than I could and are young enough with the energy to work and play with him. I am just so grateful to Jeff for offering this site to rescuers. Thank you so much. The man who has Parker is perfect for Parker. He is great about staying in touch with me and letting me know how happy he is with Parker. It now opens a space where I can save more. I don't know if I could do this without this site and the goodness Jeff Gold has shown toward rescue.

     What a wonderful service for finding homes for poodles! We feel so fortunate to have found Princess through your website. Our Havanese mix passed away a month ago, and I was finally ready to have another little dog to keep me company. I went to shelters and contacted other rescue groups, but kept holding out for the right one for us. As soon as I saw Princess's photo on Rescue Me and heard about her story, I called her owners. When I met her the next day, I ended up bringing her home. The family she came from was looking for 'new parents' who would take care of her, so it was a perfect match. Princess is a real love bug!      After 19 wonderful years with my miniature poodle Sandy, I found myself without a buddy when he passed away a couple weeks ago. I couldn't stand the quiet without the tapping of little dog feet in the house so I started searching on the internet for a young dog that needed a home. The instant I saw this picture of Nicole, I knew I had found my match. Luckily, she had been transferred from a full facility to the Humane Society. As she was only a few miles from our second home, I went to see her last Friday. She was a sweet girl with boundless energy. I still had to think about it over the July 4th weekend and then decided that we were ready for a new adoptee. I adopted her yesterday and the staff and volunteers couldn't have been better. They obviously took very good care of her during her stay there. After a very exciting first day with us (she is very inquisitive) and a nice dinner, she settled in for a happy nap. Today, she got a clean bill of health from the vet and has just made herself at home. She is so excited and happy and extremely well behaved. I was ready for a somewhat wild and untrained girl that needed a lot of work and I have been surprised with a calm but exuberant young lady that has manners. I am so glad that I saw her on the Rescue Me website and was able to give her a forever home!

     I use a service dog for myself. My previous service dog died about two years ago and I purchased a puppy from a breeder who estimated that the new puppy would weigh approximately four and a half to five pounds (the same size as my previous service dog). In order for her to perform her service for me, I carry her in a sling over my shoulder. Unfortunately, in her case, the estimate was quite low - she ended up weighing almost 8 pounds and, in fact, because she has long legs, became a miniature rather than a toy poodle. I tried for almost two years to carry her less, walk her more, and other accommodations, but I finally became aware that as I get older my ability to carry her comfortably is almost certainly going to decrease. I posted her on Rescue Me and received multiple calls. After interviewing several potential owners, I found what I believe will be a perfect home for her. All of this happened within a week! Thank you for allowing me to surrender my wonderful but 'too big' service dog to a home where I am sure she will be loved and treated as well as I treated her.

I have helped two wonderful dogs find good homes. Wish I could of kept them myself, but we have two babies and just can't provide for more. But I can not stand to see one homeless or abused.      We found Locket running through the park and the street through our neighborhood. She was matted, skinny and scared, occasionally sitting in the middle of the street stopping cars. While waiting for animal control to come, we coaxed her into our backyard. We gave her a bit of food and water, and eventually a bath! After posting her on Facebook, Craigslist, and the humane society website, I posted Locket on Rescue Me. After checking references from her vet and groomer, we adopted her out to a sweet family who will love her well. We'll miss her, but she's off to a lifetime of love.

     After my Poodle of 15 years passed away, I looked night and day at rescue places and found nothing that I felt would fill that empty place in my heart. Then I found this post for Poodles Rescue Me! I looked and there he was!! 'Theo' -I found him. He's been here for a couple of days. Already, he is loving all the family: great grandchildren, dogs, my daughter, son-in-law and granddaughters. Most of all, he loves ME. He's filling that empty place already. Thank you, Rescue Me!

     An angel called from my post, and she picked up my dog. I texted her a month later and asked if she found a home for the dog or kept it and loved it. She said she loved my dog and decided to keep him. So she went out and got another rescue to keep him company. She said she also had his teeth fixed, and renamed him Fozzie. I was so happy that I cried. Fozzie finally got a loving home, and is now jumping on and sleeping on the furniture, which he never did before. THANK YOU Rescue Me.

     I posted Zoey (Mini Labradoodle) on Rescue Me and got a hit within a half hour. Then I received numerous inquires about Zoey. On Sunday at 2 PM, Zoey was on her way to her new home. Zoey was so happy with her new family that I think she forgot to say goodbye. She will now have a buddy to play with and a happy family. God bless Rescue Me. I wasn't prepared for a new puppy, but I was not about to give her away, without knowing she would be happy. Thank you Jeff Gold, we have peace of mind and I am sure Zoey is excited and happy in her new home. I felt it only necessary to donate to such a great organization.

     When our son moved in with us, he brought three dogs with him. Since we are retired and already have two rescue dogs of our own, we needed to find good homes for his dogs. We decided to post one at a time so we could devote maximum time evaluating responses to ensure the best possible home for them. Sammy was the first, and the first time we have tried this process. We had four responses within two weeks. One of them was from a family here in the area who had recently lost their 16 year old family dog. We traded emails, set up a meeting, and decided on a foster arrangement for a couple of weeks. Everything worked out great, and Sammy has a new, loving home. The lady of the house recently had to call 911 for a medical emergency, and said that Sammy was so protective of her that he had to be put in another room until the paramedics were finished. He has accepted all the family members, including small kids, and loves to sleep on their laps. Needless to say, we are extremely happy for him. Also, we are so impressed with your website design and the process as a whole. Both of our daughters are active with shelters and rescue organizations and that is how we hooked up with Rescue Me. Donations will be on the way, and maybe another posting. I have gotten attached to the second poodle mix our son had, and he may be a permanent member of our family. Still have an Akita mix to find a home for, but I know that will be more difficult to accomplish. Thanks for what you do. People and organizations like yours are what makes our country the wonderful place it is!

     We are the proud 'forever family' of Albie with much gratitude to his previous owners! I fell in love with him as soon as I saw his picture. Upon being chosen to adopt him, we made the long trip to meet him. He was everything his owners said he was. When he met us at the door, he welcomed us with much love and puppy kisses. We are heading back home now as he sleeps contentedly in his crate in the back of 'his Subaru'. We can't wait to get him home and begin our life together. Thank you Rescue Me and to the Millsap family who did such a great job of loving and training him for us. They made a huge sacrifice today and our thoughts are with them. We will send them pictures and even visit them when we return to visit our son and his family.
